Why should anyone be executed by a non-skill shot?

You are in a team fight as Zed, you ult, get a triple kill, juke other players, and the enemy is following you. You out play them and port back to your shadow, but Shaco keeps following. You have 10% health and you have gotten away. Think again! Shaco throws his dagger, you can't side step so you get shut down. It was an amazing Shaco out play!

My thought is that a non-skill shot should never execute or hard cc you, it should leave you with 1 health to be killed with auto or a skill shot -- a real skill shot.

" Why should anyone be executed by a non-skill shot? " So you're proposing, with that example, that Zed's ult should never be able to kill those players like that because it is not a skillshot.

Well personally, I don't agree with that but perhaps some others might.

You used improper grammar in the poll and it is likely confusing people, the way you have it structured it reads

"Shouldn't skill shots execute or hard cc" To which I answer yes

If you wanted to use the same words and have it make sense it would look like this

"Should not skill shots not execute or hard cc" To which I answer no

That sounds awful though so I would suggest

"Should point and click skills not execute or hard cc" To which I answer no

Zed player complaining about things that lack skill expression...lol. Let's be honest, that teamfight you speak of lasted all of 5 seconds, 3 people got melted, and you just ulted back to your clone once. That's all every game is now. I hardly think shaco having his only reliable source of damage be a point and click spell is a problem. At least it can't hard CC you.

there are players in this game that are not as skilled as you are and have a hard time landing skillshots on others that know how to sidestep. Also most non-skillshot executes(with exceptions of course Malzahar Ryze Veigar ) and crowd control abilities are very short ranged. Take maokai w for instance and compare it to a zac E. Or compare garen R with urgot R. There is a big difference there

Kalista Alright, so her E, which resets if it kills a unit, should not be able to kill.... Annie Same for her Q. Gangplank Or his Q, which grants gold if it kills a unit. R shouldn't hard CC....would probably make it the worst ultimate in the entire game. Tristana R shouldn't push away.... what exactly is it supposed to do then? Zed R shouldn't kill the target.

Point&click abilities are not inherently problematic. You are just frustrated that you died there, that's no reason to remove these skills from the game.

Are you honestly complaining about Shaco's only form of real damage? Unless you're baited into a nest, he's an assassin that ACTUALLY has to work for kills, despite what the boards might whine about.

You do realize that auto attacks aren't skill shots either right? They are undodgeable targeted damage.
