its not the items that need changing.
its the assassins kits that need scaling adjustments. weve been over this a 1000 times. assassins need lower base damage on their abilities, higher ad scalings and total ad scalings changed to bonus ad scalings if they still have them.
the issue is not bruiser and tank items, but that assassin kits were never updated to account for their existence.
increases base ad for example. which means if assassin kits would scale with bonus ad the item would be almost worthless for them, as it wouldnt factor into their abilities.
Iceborn is not a pure tank item - it has a dmg component, you will deal 200+ dmg after using an ability... You have better midgame with iceborn and sunfire, but without the CC of the real tanks, you are just a meatshield later. I played today vs tank Akali as Trynda and fed 4-5 kills earlygame, but the Akali got destroyed after I finished last whisper.
I'm also tired of seeing ADCs building no ARMOR PEN and then complaining that tanks are OP. If you build retarded items like Duskblade, hexdrinker etc on ADCs, you deserve to lose.
Wow! I mean this is just one game out of many but seriously. LB taking damage from enemy champs and turret aggro at level 8. Fix turrets too pls.
I lately started building tanky, bruiser-ish Kassadin, rushing Iceborn just after RoA, then Rabadon, Frozen Heart, Gunblade and Merc/Tabi boots. The damage is out of this world and at the same time I am much more tanky than typical full AP Kassadin. I know it's not full tank like we can see in this video, but playing this build I feel like I'm doing more damage than with full AP Kassa.
Does no one else think that assassins just are not punished enough for not building damage. They seem to have too high base damages.
If anything, they should nerf assassin base damages and buff their scalings.
riot finally needs to put there big boy pants on and make it so items give a PRO AND A CON!
Pro: +500hp & +50 armor, magic damage passive
Con: deal 5% less damage (magic damage steals your stats for that DoT)

Is it the items or the game not forcing Assassins to build DMG items if they want to do DMG?
As in, THEIR BASE DMG IS TOO HIGH, THEY NEED TO SCALE MORE WITH DMG ITEMS. By doing this they with do no DMG if they build tank items and they will do the same DMG they normally do if they build DMG items.

It's the assassins haivng kits made so they can exploit tnak items the problem. tanks and bruisers are fine.
If that is the case then nerf tank items and buff tanks base stats to make sure Squishies don't abuse tank items.
Yeah Talon kill unprotected Sivir 1v1. Do you realize that if Talon or assassins works when built like a tank but Zac or Hecarim are still fine then the probleme come from assassins and not tank item? And Talon can kill an unprotected adc just fine as an assassin. And the Fizz game was stomp just with abyssal scepter and you were fed long before you built tank item.You just built tank item once the game was stomp to make it look like it's op. Do you realize that you still have an adc, a support and a jungler in your team and that you didn't win the game alone? Win a game with 5 assassins built tank then it might prove something. For now I think you're just jumping on a bandwagon to show that you have a cool kid opinion to become a youtube superstar. Assassin's win the early game based on their base damages. They scale off in the late due to either squishiness or low damage curves.
All the tank items do is is turn the low burst curve into a sustained curve instead. Once you propel yourself ahead, you abuse the fact that they don't have damage items nor do they have defensive items.
However, if one were to actually try this in pro-play it wouldn't pan out quite like it does in solo q.
Eh...that's not a good vid to use as an example. Tank Leblanc went 7-1 after 31 minutes. She also didn't burst people down even with help from other teammates.
Now if you show a vid where tank assassins 100-0 someone in about 2 seconds, then I'd understand the argument, but it's not like they're instagibbing people.
And to the other commenter: Talon does have low bases. He scales off of bonus AD as well. It was this player's choice to kill people over time rather than instantly. It doesn't always work, but it mostly works against an enemy team choc full of squishies. Tanks are known to be oppressive to squishies early game who aren't able to buy lots of damage and ample amounts of penetration. Nothing new here.
Sounds like a Base damage on assassins issue, rather then a tanky issue.
Why nerf tank items ( forcing people to go damage or be inefficent ) when you can attack assassin scaling instead?
If you reduce assassin base damage their laning and ability to get damage items so that they cause damage might turn to non-pick-tier
Tank items on the other hand have always had the bonus of allowing you to live more to cause more damage, but you're seeing issues with the new masteries / champ changes / item changes / new items
Look at it this way; ADCs typically don't have high base damage, not comparable to their autos late game on a traditional ADC anyways; yet what is their answer to living longer and having to survive assassin, mage, tank damage or dive? It's to build more tanky items, steraks, maw, even if they're only part tank, you get the idea.
It's hard to get to a point of balance where damage mitigation is equally as useful as offensive penetration, but at its core value, more damage mitigation always helps minimize mistakes being punished or missing abilities, because you live longer and can cast more abilities or not instantly die if caught out due to low defenses.
Add in hybrid items such as IBG or steraks and you get more balance complexities
