Just played against what that champ is you posted, smashed him hard, after his first death he got steam rolled, was funny and sad.

We removed the heal provided by using the active of item 3153 ... a semi-core item of the champ that we also reduced the heal and dps of.

They looked at Lucian and said "Hey, your animations are causing you issues, lets fix those to cast a bit more fluidly."

They didn't look at Aatrox and say "Hey, your animations are literally holding you in place for seconds on end."

Although, I'll still suggest item 3124 + item 3146 as a hopeful and eventual progression.

I'll really miss Warlords. I've been running it on Nasus for a long time now, and the sustain it gives you pretty much allows you to ignore everything in lane, and win 3v1s with ridiculous lifesteal. I don't understand why it was never popular on Nasus.

The exhaust nerfs aren't as bad. The summoner will still be in every game still.

Aatrox will be looked at someday, maybe already next patch, who knows? Exhaust will prolly still be used. Deathfire touch is still a big deal on Jhin.
