I thought Riot clearly stated that playing with friends DOES NOT affect your MMR. This season I got to gold V solo, then started playing with my silver 3-5 friends. I'm having fun with them, and then I end up at Gold V 0 LP.
I lose 2 games and get demoted? What the hell?

Why on earth did you assume playing in DQ made you immune to anything? How utterly ridiculous would that be?
Playing with friends on it's own does not influence your MMR, however your wins/losses with them still do. If you're not winning>50% of your games with silver 3-5 folks (as you should be able to as someone at gold 5 skill level in theory), then your mmr will drop. And from the sounds of things it managed to drop all the way to the silver 5 MMR level required to be demoted from gold 5 to silver 1.
Still if you climbed up solo once, it shouldn't be too difficult to repair your mmr and get back to gold 5, since once you go back to solo you'll be matched with silver 5/4's mostly at first and be able to stomp them.

My thoughts on you getting demoted
First Azir Game- You all played terribly, you have no one to blame but the entire group
Azir- You just barely broke even but you could of played better, the real question here is why do you have a jarvan support? I can tell he is part of your group, you should of demanded that he played a legitimate support. If he is in your group he is your responsibility this is two games in a row where he played badly.
Malzahar: the enemy LeBlank destroyed you guys, she was your lane opponent. How did you let her go so out of hand?

Why on earth are you playing with such blatantly bad players? Are you trying to boost these fools? If you are knowingly playing with bad players while being a simple mediocre player yourself, than you deserve to get demoted. You know they are bad, and yet you play with them while being only mediocre yourself. You don't get my pity, you went into ranked knowing how bad they were, and over half the games you yourself also played poorly.
Don't complain about getting demoted, when it was done by your hands.

The demotion was deserved.
