Oh dear. Well, at least if you win you'll get a nice MMR bump, and if you lose it's not a big deal to your MMR.
They have commented in patch notes a lot about the high end matchmaking, so it's a tricky balance between reasonable queue times and 'fair' matchups. Although I feel like last I heard they were erring on the side of having fairer matchs ups instead of low diamonds vs pro players, but I guess it's not foolproof.
