Shyv ult can be canceled by airborne ccs. Really? Da hell? That means her ult can be canceled by sej q. hahahahahha funny right? I lost my mind cuz of that hahahaa. And u know her ult direction bar? Looks wide enuf right? But when i use it, i feel that its actually smaller than nid spear size lol.
It's not cancelled with CC abilities, it's cancelled with 'displacement' CC abilities. And there are a lot of them in this game, that are normal abilities, such as Hecarim's charge (which knocks you back).
This is perfectly normal. Some ults, like Shyvanna's can be blocked. Deal with it.
I love Shyvanna, her kit and playstyle are very much her own. She is a nicely designed champion that hasn't seen a lot of change at all since release. But, can she be better? Of course. I think it's about time for an Ult change on her anyway, just to shake things up a bit.
Without that cancel, there's not much you can do against a Dragonborn diving at you headfirst. They have to actively cancel your ult, it's not like all of your Rage goes down when you get hit.
