Why have they changed Rek'Sai from a bruiser to an assassin?

I know i'm a bit late to the party, but i just don't get the direction they took for Rek'Sai.

I'll admit, i really like her new ult, a lot, but i hate that they changed all her ratios from %AD to Bonus AD, it completely kills her tank builds. Before i could take cinderhulk, BC and sterakk plus tank items, and with her %AD ratios and attacks speed bonus she could tank and still dish out lots of damage. Plus with the attack speed loss Titanic is a no-no

Now she just feels awkward to build with.

Go damage ---> Squishy as hell and die in a second

Go tanky ----> deals no damage

Is there any reason why they slap bonus AD ratios on bruisers and tanks? it completely kills sterakk builds

Because they didnt want her being a tank/bruiser. Plain and simple.

She was designed/created with the vision of being an assassin, so thats how they want her to be played.

Not to mention whenever she was built as a bruiser/tank she went from ridiculous killing machine earlier and transitioned into a knock-up bot late game. Which isnt fun at all.
