wtf is the point of bronze?

Either you get caried out because your ennemies feed, or you can never get out because riot gives you the wrong teams so why not the fck scrap bronze altogether and just allow the right people to play ranked? It's completely stupid, it's fucking the game over

If you need your team to get out of bronze, then you dont deserve to get out of bronze.

To be fair, support and support jungle mains will always need their teams to get out of any rank

Jungle is one of the easiest roles to climb in, and many supports can carry on their own.

Personally I've never been in bronze for more than 5-6 games at the start of the season after placements. Stop blaming everyone else and matchmaking and coming up with all of these crazy theories. Either you're better than the rank you're in, and you climb - Or you're not, and you don't. Stop with the conspiracies about riot "Fucking people over" - Bad games happen to everyone, on both sides of the map, from time to time. You'll climb if you're good enough to do so.

I've taken 4? 5? Accounts up to gold so far this season, and every single one of them I blew through bronze with no problem at all. Carried 4v5's, Carried games with hard feeding teammates(With 20+ deaths each) - If you don't belong there, you'll climb.

KoggyStyle2 votes

You are part of the problem, every bronze game you win being a better player screws actual bronze...... its simple logic

Kai Guy2 votes

Not really. They move out of the Range faster and the guy your responding to has been Silver most seasons so its not like they are grossly overskilled pub stomping folks.

Grahamster004 votes

I like to think you wrote this thinking this proves him wrong, but you're proving his point. People like you, who are actual gold, play in bronze to level up. I, an actual bronze player, have to play against you, and lose. Because you're gold and I'm bronze. Not because I'm not trying hard enough, because you're a skill bracket ahead of me. It's like a middle-school team playing a college team, and when the middle school team loses, you say "stop blaming other people, just be better and you could have beat us." And you're not the only one who does this, a lot, I'd almost go as far to say the majority of high-elo players, smurf at some point or another. And a poor team of actual bronze has to play against a team with at least one smurf, I'd say statistically half the time. That's not based on actual numbers, but my experience in Bronze. I'd essentially have to reach gold-level skill to reliably beat most of the "bronze" teams with smurfs and get out of bronze. And people do do that, I'm not saying it's impossible. I'm saying it hurts newer players, and turns a lot of casual players off from playing ranked.

You know the reason you're never been in bronze for more than 5-6 games on your smurfs? Because you're not bronze-level skill. You're gold. So your "experience" in bronze elo is kinda not relevant at all.

TheSingularity2 votes

While I agree with you, he's likely also talking as someone who has been in bronze. Most have been bronze, I was bronze and his initial passage is right on the money. You are the only common factor in your games, you are the only factor you have 100% control over. So focus on you and every single teeny tiny mistake you make instead of the mistakes your allies make.

Grahamster001 votes

Yes, you are the only factor you have control of, but you alone cannot consistently carry bronze games without being significantly higher ranked than bronze. Especially as roles like Support. Aside from the meme that "bronze is so fucking bad a silver support can carry a game," I've played with my friends on smurfs in bronze, they are actually gold and plats, I'm actually bronze, and we still would lose. You cannot bet on getting out of bronze just because you deserve to be in the next tier, I wouldn't bet on someone consistently being able to carry a bronze game unless they were at least gold 1+, purely because of all the trolls, feeders, and smurfs.

Stray Kat1 votes

But that's the entire point.. If you're NOT Bronze skill level, you'll climb out of bronze. If you ARE Bronze skill level, you're right where you should be, by being there. There's no reason someone with a bronze skill level should be climbing above bronze. You're not kept down by smurfs, nor am I Intentionally playing in bronze to level up - I'm just passing through after a bad set of placements. If you're a higher skill level, you'll climb out. You SHOULD need to be a higher skill level to reliably carry games in any skill bracket, that's the point. If you're in the bracket where you belong you SHOULD have trouble and have to grind to advance - That's called improving. When you're higher skill, you climb through whereas when you've reached your own skill level you'll plateau/slow down and struggle more. That's what rank is.

Grahamster001 votes

I'm not saying you have to be a higher skill level, of course you do, I'm saying you have to be at least two skill brackets ahead to consistently carry your team without just getting lucky with teammates. While I'm sure the occasional game in Silver+ you have coinflip bots, feeders, or smurfs, it's not uncommon to have multiple of them in a single bronze game. I would not be mad if you had to be silver skill level to get out of Bronze, I'm mad you have to be at least Gold skill level to carry out of bronze. I'm fairly confident in saying anyone who can get out of bronze could hold their own in a gold game, and it's just a matter playing enough games in silver and not getting dicked over with teammates to do so. The skill it takes to get out of bronze is about the skill it takes to play consistently in gold.

Stray Kat1 votes

But that's still not true. Take a glance at my OP.GG - This is my main account(I have plenty of alternates, but this is the one I used from day 1 of me playing). I've ended every season except last season, as Silver 2-5. It was only last season that I finally started playing well enough to progress up into gold. Even in the earlier seasons I never once spent more than 15-20 games to climb out of bronze after placements - I was placed B4 after a 2-8 Placement a couple years ago, and carried myself straight back out to low silver - Where I remained stuck as I had every season previously.

I'm not just a special case, or think that I'm particularly good - I'm just your average Die-hard Diana main with okay game knowledge. The games can be hard to carry sometimes, yes, but that's the point - If they're too hard to carry, then you're where you should be. That's just how it works.

Side tip - Farming and Warding are the biggest problems I see in those few games when I land down there. Double digit CS in every role@20, with single digit vision scores. Ignoring the nonsense everyone else is up to while focusing objectives, CS, and Vision is a wonderful start for climbing out of bronze. When I'm down there I literally ignore my team almost entirely. I ask my Jungle to ignore my lane(And get the other two ahead instead), and I focus on just winning my lane as hard as I can. CS Lead, solid vision, pushing down their tower for first turret, etc - I literally go one track mind and just focus on which inhibitor I want or whatever, and every play I make moves me towards it. The teammates up to their nonsense and fights aren't making the right plays, so they shouldn't be the focus.

I'm in diamond elo and get 'trolls/ebay' nearly every game, its in every mmr and bronze if anything would be the easiest to deal with since nobody knows how to abuse the leads they get off of a guy who's clearly trolling.

Yeah riot singles out silver players and rigs games for 9 other people to keep you down. It makes sense if you dont think about it.

If you cant carry out of bronze you deserve to be there without question. Look at any one of the hundreds of bronze to diamond series on YT and not a single one of them doesnt absolutely roflstomp trough bronze first timing champs with troll builds.

Also, its really cringey that you're posting on 2 different accounts pretending to be different people to agree with yourself. It's very obvious. Thats really embarrassing

The point of bronze is to get really good at mental chess.

Not joking - in bronze your main enemy is your team, not the enemy team. You're not fighting the enemy, you're fighting tilt, A.D.D, and gamer fatigue (what I call "just not feeling the game right now") so your goal in bronze is to help to keep your team focused, motivated, and calm.

Try to give out really vague things to do (ex. "someone go top") that gets everyone to react (like, "someone go top" without fail send my entire freaking team up there, and I'm not even in Bronze anymore) until they start respecting your shotcalls enough they can listen to more advanced ones (ex. "Yi, go splitpush while the rest of us take dragon")

And if anyone starts raging at you for trying to shotcall, simply ask them "what's your plan then?" If they have one, great. Go with it. If it's a bad plan, everyone will stop listening to them and stick with your plan, and if it's a good plan, just let them plan. If they don't have a plan, reinforce that they need to follow your plan. If they just straight up refuse, they're gonna get reported for intentionally trolling the game at that point, because they're not working with the team and blatantly showing their refusal to in chat.

Or, you never set foot there because your normal MMR is not trash before playing rank.

Or, you are good enough to carry those games and get out even if placed there.

I've seen no account get consistently fed in all games and not be able to carry in bronze.

Bronze is a grinding place You keep playing on 50% winrate until you rank up , eventually you will rank up as long as you keep it 50% As a platinum level player I actually struggle carrying a Bronze level game unless I play some 1v5 champions

You have to be joking, as a plat level player you should be able to stomp your way to plat elo with whatever your main champ is (unless you're a support main).

The thing is, the meta in plat is actually vastly different from the meta in bronze - because the playstyle is that different.

It's hard for someone in plat to understand bronze play because bronze play is quite literally that screwy. Instead of your Riven or Fiora top, you're more likely to see Nasus or Tryndamere, and instead of your flashy assassin mid laners, you see a lot more of people like Veigar or Xerath.

Like I said , it's about champions for example , the champion I struggled with was Ahri , I one trick her yet I couldn't do shit , I first timed Riven and actually carried 1v9 It's more of a champion thing , stuff like Kat/Riven/Yi always work

That would be the least of my concerns... They have unpredictable and irrational behaviours; they'll try to win 1v4 when 2/8, but won't join a free baron... What I find most annoyng is how they have zero sense of teamplay : millions of times, I've been ganked by top or mid, either when invading or just farming my jungle. I'll ping our lanes, I'll even write in chat, and they won't budge : they're too happy farming solo and leaving their team deal with the ennemy they are in charge of. In these conditions, victory is really a coin flip...

AlienPrimate2 votes

Even if you are support main it should be easy. You should get your adc so far ahead in lane that it doesn't matter if they are good or not when they stat check everyone as you set up easy kills for them. You can also be a leader and actually organize your team to do quality rotations instead of the ARAM crap that always happens mid game in low ranks.

iWuTaylor1 votes

when your team feeds a rengar, yi, zed, before you even get your first item, good job getting your adc anywhere but to the graveyard

I laugh at fed rengar, yi, and zed as I bash their face in with my main who hard counters all 3. Here is what happens when you have a bunch of ad against Taric.

Fed assassins are the easiest thing in league to shut down if you're a better player than them because no matter how far ahead they are, if they don't build defense (and bronzies don't) the second you're able to burst them back in 1 combo you're on equal terms (or better if you have CC and are a better player) anything you build beyond that is just pulling you further ahead (generally defense)

Here's the thing about bronze. You can focus on building early game items that facilitate burst early and 1 combo opponents, and that will last the entire game, because your opponents never get more defense. So there's no tradeoff, in Bronze you just build that early game burst, then stack defense and utility.

Implying only Assassins can carry games https://i.imgur.com/ISeYanw.jpg[\img] , is your next excuse that this poppy streak wasn't in bronze/silver?

Because that would be dumb considering I would be able to get away with just mindly split pushing and killing anyone that comes my way without dying regardless of numbers in iron-silver :)

Quit complaining about people in bronze being bad (news flash they aren't supposed to be good) and improve your skills.

iWuTaylor2 votes

LOL who are you talking to? Are you stupid? I just proved I carry every single game I play as poppy. https://matchhistory.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-history/EUW1/2033726559963936 and poppy IS an assassin LOL. What's your excuse now? "wahhh wahhh it's just your fault, Im not lucky"
