Blade of the Ruined King and Might of the Ruined King

I'm not sure if it's working as intended, but if you build a BotRK and Ornn uprgrades it into a MotRK, and you build another BotRK afterwards, the on-hit % current health damage stacks to an insane 16% current health damage on-hit. I wasn't recording, but I played against a kog'maw as ADC, and with him having both Ruined King items, and in the death recap, he did 300 damage with AA's + abilities, and did over 800 with items. I was playing twitch, and didn't build any health, and he only auto'd me 3 times. That much on-hit damage from items can only be explained by the supposedly "unique" passive on the items stacking because of it not being a named passive, and the items being technically two different items.

I just went into practice tool with Ornn and tested it for myself. with both Ruined King items, I had 206 AD. When hitting the full health enemy dummy, i did around 850 damage. I sold the Blade of the Ruined King, kept the Might of the Ruined King, losing 40 AD in the process, so I bought 40 AD from long swords to balance it out and keep it fair, and when I auto'd the full health enemy dummy this time, my auto only did around 570 damage. Both tests, I had 206 AD, and had no runes that would skew the damage in anyway, and I repeated the test several times, with the same result every single time. It hasn't been wide spread yet, but it isn't okay, and it should be addressed before it's abused.

I too have encountered this. item 3153 &item 3389 the 8% stacks to make 16% damage

It's intended. The passive it has is not named, which means it will stack across differently-named items.

its only when you have both versions.

Like 2 standard botrk doesnt stack.

Can you also file this in Report A Bug?

This happens with Black Cleaver and Obsidian Cleaver

Yeah, this should be fixed. But most people wouldn't know about it because it requires both an allied Ornn and an ADC who makes good use of Bork.

I guess it's because they count as two different items.

I wonder if that works for other stuff aswell, like double ludens proc or another 25% crit damage from IE...

this is intended and rarely happens to influence a game since by the time it happens games are usually over. infact now that i think about i've never seen anyone take advantage of ornns passive this way.

On My Kill List11/27/2019, 7:33:47 PM1 votes

and you know now that i think about i've never seen in any ornn games people do this. because *it requires the game to be late enough to the point where people can afford either 2 botkrs,2 black cleaver, etc. *by the time games reach that point i'm pretty sure almost everyone dies near instantly so having some more black cleave procs or percent health damage really won't make much of a difference.

  • its extremely costly.
  • you will almost never see this happen because most people are unaware that ornn masterwork items stack with their regular versions. *due to all of these reasons this is basically a non factor/non issue. and most importantly. there is a limited amount of item slots. there are not that many champions that would want double botrk or double black cleavers rather then another core utility or defensive item. if riot ever increases the amount of items we can carry while at the same time increasing average game time to 40 minutes or so then yes, maybe you'll see people take advantage of this but most games are decided and over long before anyone can afford double black cleavers. and seeing as this isn't some free benefit i don't think riot will go out of their way to nerf this or remove this.
