"Patcher Disconnected"

I've seen a couple posts referring to AMD CPUs (which i'm running atm) and the anti-cheat systems, and am wondering if this is caused by the same thing. When I'm in client, every couple of minutes or so, lasting for about 30 seconds each time, I'm unable to queue or create a lobbies. Upon hovering over the "Play" or "queue" buttons from the home page or lobby respectively, it reads "patcher disconnected." This problem has persisted through a clean re-install of the client and all of the normal procedures (resetting network, rebooting pc, etc.) i've had this issue for about the last 3 patches, give or take. Up to this point, I've been just passively been waiting thinking, "oh, it'll be fixed in the next patch," but enough is enough. Putting this out there to see if anyone else has been experiencing this, or if I'm just a one-off case. My particular specs are an AMD FX 6300 ~4.2ghz and a GTX 1050ti at stock. Thanks for your time.

Hmm, could be. It would be worth trying out Riot Support's Hextech Repair Tool which can scan all your game files for anything corrupted, make sure you have the right connection and firewall settings, etc.
