Realistically, I'm sure there have been thousands of threads/suggestions like this one.
I'm just one more player that had to get that off his chest. Obviously, RIOT is aware of the toxic item Zhonya .... and just as obviously they're not planning to do anything about it. Otherwise it would have been removed long ago and this post wouldn't even be possible.

Why an item like this would even be in the game is well beyond me. It allows certain Champs to use their ULTs without any risk or consequences whatsoever! If you complain about ... oh, say ... Katarina's ULT you'll be bombarded by post after post of "Oh, you can interrupt it with this or with that, or with this and that..." until they vote your thread to a close. but what about an item that makes an ULT UNINTERRUPTABLE??? I'm sure there'll be the nonsensical response that ""... it has a cooldown..."" Riot is constantly trying to nerf HEALTH and Health Regen because of a whole bunch of pure B S reasons but they have an item in the game that protects someone for 2.5 seconds AND allows them to do maximum damage with their ULTS for that 2.5 seconds!!! Where's the Risk??? Where's the Tradeoff???

Like I said. I'm just one more player that had to get that off his chest.
I'm not debating anything with the so-called "COMMUNITY" because .... I can't imagine a bigger waste of time than that.

The only ults Zhonyas allows to continue have already FINISHED casting. Fiddlesticks, Morgana, and Swain all turn their ults on and then the ult itself is done. After the ult is activated though, they gain the SECONDARY DoT/Tethers/DoT + heal effect, which Zhonyas does not interrupt.

Look at it this way. Karthus channels for 3 seconds, then nukes everyone. The channel itself is his ultimate, and if it completes he uses it (in his case, nuking the enemy team). For Fiddlesticks case, he channels, then does lots of damage in an area around him. The channel itself is consider to be the only important part of the ultimate; if he completes the channel, he gains a DoT buff, if he does not complete it, he does not gain the buff. The buff itself continues to go on, whether he is untargetable and unable to move or not. If he activates Zhonyas DURING the channel, his ultimate will cancel, as he cannot channel during it.

For your sake, look at this. This means you cannot move/continue moving, autoattack, cast spells, or use items. It does NOT say you suddenly lose your buffs/debuffs. That is what most Zhonyas ultimates that people complain about do; they provide a buff/debuff and are not cancelled by Zhonyas, which is ENTIRELY intended.

Kat's ult is interrupted by Zhonya's......also, without Zhonya's, so many assassins would just faceroll to victory every game. Zhonya's is very important to the game, without it there would be tons of balance changes needed to all mages because it is essential to many of their play styles. Unlike DFG, it is non-toxic. It puts you in a position where you either, are blown up the next second, or you save yourself with just a small amount of health. Also, champs such as Fiddlesticks sort of need that item, it gives them the option of jumping into a team fight, even if they are squishy.
