I was thinking it may be nice to have a team comp checklist in the champ select lobby in order to make sure your team has all the essentials components of a healthy comp.

For example selecting Maokai could check off Tank, CC. Selecting Caitlyn can check off that you have a ranged damage dealer.

I know there is supposed to be no meta but this might help both newer players and players who have a bad habit of not caring about comps change their attitude toward solo queue drafting

This could help teams in solo queue make sure that their team has a ranged adc, a mix of ad and ap damage. It would not restrict anyone from playing anything just inform you that it may be better to select something to have a healthy comp.

While I think this works on over watch, this is largely because of the interface/lay out it has, to make it work on league we would need a new interface re haul.

It's already hard enough to make matchmaking work balancing queue time, mmr balance and lane preferences, this would be simply unviable. I mean it would be nice and all but it's not gonna happen, they ditched teambuilder for a reason.

@thread Riot creates "Sub roles" a la dawnguard (rip ;-;) and sub roles decrease gold costs of "core" items based on what you choose. And you can only start a game if you have three or more unique sub roles!

Ap bruiser:

  1. item 3151 = 2900g
  2. item 3116 = 2400g

AP burst:

  1. item 3089 = 3000g
  2. item 3285 = 2900g

Bruiser:

  1. item 3071 = 2600g
  2. Hydra = 3200g

Marksmen: Already really cheap. WHy would you buff them with cheaper core items?

Tank: 1)item 3211 = 1000g 2)item 1031 = 500g

Juggernaut:

  1. item 3053 = 2900g
  2. item 3057 = 500g

Assassin:

  1. item 3147 = 2600g 2)item 3142 = 2600g

The problem is that not every team comp needs to have that sort of balance in it.

Some comps are better off more specialized, for instance.
