Nerf Draven? Why or why not?

My friend thinks Draven should be nerfed and he says it with great passion.

I on the other hand...Doesn't care. Sure Dravens are very scary and hurt so much but Draven is a hard champion I suppose therefore I don't see many Dravens out there. Or at least many good ones. Then again I don't play ranked just normal games. I do rage in my mind when I see a Draven poking me hard when I am under the turret. I still don't fully agree he should be nerfed. Not everyone can catch axes.

What are your opinions?

I think he's in a good place. He is one of the hardest snowballing adc's but he has pretty obvious strengths and weaknesses that promote counterplay.

I'd be okay with a little of his early game power being shifted into either some more utility or overall power for mid/late game.

He has high early game power and is a real lane bully for an ADC, but that's traded off with his high predictability (you can see where his axes are going to land if you wanna throw out a quick skillshot like a Caitlyn Q) and his high skill cap, he's certainly not one of the easier ADCs to play, let alone master.

Does he need a nerf IMO? Not really. Does he need a slight power shift? Definitely.

I don't really think he needs any changes. I mean a good Draven can juggle 3 axes. I said it, yep 3 axes. Meaning that he can easily put out one of the highest DPS's in the game, but a bad Draven can barely juggle 1 and struggles with 2.

Draven struggles due to the lack of a gap closer combined with his early game being dependent on getting ahead or just farming and getting a kill at 6 without dying. And as was pointed out his axes are huge targets for aim here Draven will have to choose to miss the axe or potentially die.

Saw Doublelift do it once. Floored me with the amount of precision it takes to do so and do it well, but that's why he's playing and coaching at a professional level.

Draven has been nerfed once already and that nerf was his passive he lost such an amazing passive for his current one

Draven by any means is not an easy ADC to master, ive mained him for quite a while now, kind of the reason why i know him inside out. want to counter him? pick a cc heavy support , try to keep him dead and DON'T let him get the first kill. in team fights draven becomes even tougher to handle, catching axes while positioning properly while focusing high priority targets that's just a shit load of pressure

in team fights want to counter him ? Pick Irelia ,vi ,jarvan ,malphite, blitz and Morgana.

I mentioned blitz and Morgana because of there cc. if he gets hooked or snared hes as good as dead. if you're playing as an ADC pick graves, cait or ezreal they do fairly well vs him. i wouldn't recommend vayne as the laning phase is a quite tough, but if you make it to late game you can all in him as soon as he drops an axe.

Draven is more of a high skillcap ----> high reward champion, playing him is always a gamble, there's a reason why you don't see him "that much" in high elo. and while alot of people do play him only a few tend to do well with him.
