Looking for a Mid Laner

I'm newer to league of legends and have been trying out a lot of new mid laners to try and find one that suits me. I'm looking for a mid laner that can be played aggressive and is generally ranged, but I also want a mid laner who can get in close if need be. I've been looking at axis and Jayce but I'm not sure if there are any others. Thanks for the help :D
