Sylas the shackled
(Btw I don’t main sylas I just play him from time to time) So sylas is getting changes on the PBE. They suck.
Biggest changes: W execute removed W auto reset removed E1 shield removed E1 auto reset removed E2 Q combo removed
Wtf, actually wtf.
Riven has a passive that gives her next auto bonus damage after casting a spell. So like sylas, Riven needs to auto after spells to maximize her damage output. All of her Qs reset her auto timer so she can auto - Q - auto - Q - auto - Q - auto very smoothly. She can cancel her animations with W and E but they don’t reset autos, so she has to end ability combos with a Q so she can auto right after. She feels very smooth and can quickly combo abilities and autos to output some big damage.
Alright. Sylas can combo like this: Auto - E1 - auto - E2 and Q - auto - W - auto. It’s just and example is what sylas can do. A lot of skill expression in him is using those auto cancels effectively to get his passive off. He can use W to make clutch plays in a 1v2. e1 shield can also come in clutch in a mage fight and using it smart feels amazing.
Riot looks at these 2 champs and decides, “Why is the AP character not a late game one shot champ??? Let’s remove everything that makes him a fluid AP fighter and compensate by buffing AP ratios to the moon so he can one shot like every other AP assassin champ.”
We have seen it before with Aurelian sol. It’s so dumb that riot is taking away unique kits and making them assassins for no reason. What next? Azir soldiers can attack only once but the AP ratio is now 100% and when he Qs the soldiers attack the nearest enemy champ where they dash so he can one shot people like and AP assassin instead of dealing high sustain damage as a control mage.
