you made zed too strong, yet again, he literally requires no skill to win most match-ups, i dodge 9/10 q's and 10/10 slashes then he just switches to his shadow once he's 6 ult's hits ignite flashes onto you after u flash right after his ult ends and still gets enough dmg to push you out of lane on hitting one q an 1-2 auto attacks due to his great positioning from mimic flashing your flash, then just safely reverts back to his shadow taking only one tower shot if any. because of the huge imbalance, he buys at 6 and just repeats his low cd ult to get you to around half then ignite is up for him to do the same thing but now he has brutalizer and finishes most opponents who are not playing defensive and even ones that r he pushes out of lane making them useless even with teleport to get right back into the lane to hold pressure. because he has no mana he's full energy halfway down to his first roam or sits in lane not needing a blue buff to spam his ridiculously safe rotation.

UPDATE here is my solution to zed and leblanc which i think is fair tell me what you guys think

i feel like the only viable consistent counterplay is having a jung with follow up hard cc while me also having hard cc in mid, that's really hard to cordiante in soloque which is where i play mostly. i think zed and leblanc's kit of "hit n run before you can hit back" (guerilla tactics) needs to be changed to not allow them to phase back unless they get a kill or assist like other toons reset mechanic, then they would have to actually assassinate the target, or cordinate it with team mates to finish them off, this mechanic would allow counterplay in both solo play and skrimishes. if they went in too soon or got cc'd during thier ambush this would force them to decide to farm until team mates show up from safety, or take the risk and be vulnerable temporarily trying to solo kill, same as everybody else <3

I beat both Zed and Leblanc as Sona mid on an even skill matchup. They aren't anywhere near OP at the moment. Sona is currently one of the weakest champions in the game. Learn to dodge the enemy better, and learn to hit them better. If you can't face them, pick a long range mage and turn the lane into a farm lane.

Learn to full stop. I ain't reading that shit without an accepted level of basic English grammar.

Maybe you just got outplayed

Zed is a nightmare lane for me, but it's not because he's overpowered. It's simply because they outplay me or, more often than not, I outplay myself thinking "OMG ZED I'M SO FUCKED!"

The absolute WORST thing you can do against assassins (or anyone) is panic because that's just gunna end with you blowing long cooldowns or dying or both. Sit in lane, farm, and think of a strategy based on how they're playing. What are they using aggressively? Is it something I can take easy advantage of? If they're not using anything aggressively, you probably shouldn't either unless you KNOW you can win against their all-in. Just sit back, farm, and wait for them to fuck up.

zed is one of the highest skill cap champions. requires a ton of skill to play super effectively.

but even a bad zed can punish a bad mid laner. either he is a good zed or you are a bad mid. maybe both.

you made zed too strong

....really man? His latest buff was at Season 4, and he has received nothing but nerfs, especially the part where he gets an activation delay after his ult. I'd say git gud kid.

I would just play Anivia or Malzahar (not a mid main) and farm at tower until he decides to tower dive. Maybe get some damage on him with Malz E or Anivia Q while farming. Both have a hard cc for when he dives you.

Zed is really not that bad to go up against. He does do quite a lot of damage but you have to learn to counter attack. I played Azir Yesteday or the day before into zed and for a mediocre Azir player(less than mediocre really) I did really well. Moment he ults I would just ult him back or ult him into my turret. My favorite counter to zed tho is Diana. He ults me I pop shield, q and ult right back. Usually he dies long before I die

Try playing Cho'Gath against him. Zed becomes the saddest ninja.

Is this guy serious? Hey bud go play a few ZED games and find out for yourself how OP he is.

YOU GOT REKKKKKT!

I don't understand how this can be within the acceptable amount of English mistakes for an internet post and yet still make me hate it so much.

Mr Malrin10/27/2015, 11:57:20 AM1 votes

once he blows he wad so to speak he is extremely vulnerable.... hence assassins of all kinds in LoL. As a mage you just have to play around the mechanics and keep pressure on. Hit when you can and dodge what you can, let the minions do the rest. If you are trying to go toe-to-toe with an assassin as a mage you are supposed to die anyhow that's the whole point. Try taking a fighter/brawler/tank mid against him and see Z's effectiveness go down the drain. The 10-15 seconds he takes to regain energy to do another burst you can get the minion wave in your favor and he will have to focus energy on keeping his tower alive. Also if you are playing for kills you are not doing your team any favors in the game as a whole anyhow..... objectives win games not kills. If you go 30/0/0 mid lane and never get the lane pushed forward you are just as effective as the guy afk dancing in your base. Assassins mid have to kill you to get objectives knocked down so that they can go harass other lanes, if Zed is forced to stay focused on mid and can't leave to go assassinate other lanes their team dynamic goes to crap as normally team comps with an assassin will have 1/2 tanky's the adc and a support of some sorts and that means the main source of the team damage (the assassin i.e. Zed/Leblanc etc) will be so focused on keeping mid lane taken care of that your team should have the upper hand (given all things moderately equal). Zed's kit is strongest when he rushes towards you that you will go backwards, this gives the Zed player the comfort of being able to swap back to the safety of his shadow, try working on going at an angle towards the way Zed come from when you are high enough on health....then where is he going to go? He isn't as safe to go backwards anymore and if he keeps pressuring towards you he will be out of energy soon by doing so and unless you been spamming spells it plays right into your kit and then the tables have turned. Running away from an assassin is how they get kills... I'm not saying run towards one either but maybe take a path less traveled. Go watch some How to counterplay Zed videos and you will see what I mean. That brings us back to the whole "maybe you are just not that good mid" theory that some have posted. But you can be with some self teaching and breaking bad habits like being predictable. Do something different every single time the Zed comes in on you. I once as an Ahri against Zed was having a rough time around level 8/9 as he was a very good Zed, so I decided to try something different because I'd been caught twice and tower dived once so was down 0/3 to a early fed 3/0 zed. The next time he came at me (in the same way as he had done before) I flashed over the wall on the other side of the brush where I knew I had a ward but my Jungle had cleared his earlier the Zed thinking I was going to run started towards the brush and I unleashed my entire kit while moving towards my tower in case I didn't kill him I had somewhere moderately safe to go to. Once I seen that he wasn't going to chase me and I had him to less health than what I had I made a move in and caught him surprised as he got assassinated for his aggressive play and I got shutdown gold. He never recouped from this one solid kill and my team eventually won because he was just handed his own medicine and didn't like the taste, he wasn't the same player the rest of the match. You have to be creative to deal with some match-ups and try having a friend go into a custom game with you that is good with any champ you may be having troubles with and try and figure out new or better ways to deal with it. Even go ahead and pick someone who is heavily countered by Zed/Leblanc so that you can find ways to get better. Even a heavy counterpick can still win trades as long as you do them right.
