need help helping someone

so im going to try sum this up ive never been to good at explaining things but i need help finding a video that helps teach basics of league and a little more to someone that really doesnt understand how things work. so he gets that theres a top and bot lane and mid and jungle but he doesnt get the why or to call role, last hitting , not to over extend what a jungle does, positioning, what to buy and why . it be easyier for me to show hiim if i was in person but he lives far far away from me and i need some help with some basic stuff he goes like 0/ 6 to bots he has never played a moba ever the videos ive found were decent vids for people who understand a bit more then he does

Just play with him? and teach him as he goes (literally duo with him to teach him the basics). League was also my first moba (way back in season 2) and videos will do little to nothing unless he search for them himself (so you know he is interested in getting better)

Just have him watch Ls on youtube. Just watch a low elo coaching session and just have him soak everything in. Will still take a little but will def put him in the right direction. Otherwise for the basics just have him play a shit ton.

There's actually two tutorials in the game.

The first is garbage (Thornmail Ashe) but the second teaches enough that he should be OK against bots. It plays a lot more like a normal bot game, but with explanations built into it. I recommend he play that one first and go from there.

Technically you don't have to role call if you're OK with playing whatever role is left (I'm in that boat, I love Fill in Blind Pick), but new players generally don't have enough experience to play all roles decently. Still, it can be a great way to find what you like and what you don't.
