Riot, fix your matchmaking system
Skill disparity. This is at the center of how people learn during matches. Often times it's the most important key into what defines the context of an entire match. It's a problem. Everyone has had the match where it was them and a team of whoever versus a diamond and their friends. This can be said about multiple cases where there is a wide gap in knowledge between particular players and their counterparts. Some people grow to see this as a learning environment, others rage at what they see as an unfair advantage, and there are those who just don't know what happened at all. Now, imagine you just started this game and were placed in a similar position. It's just not fun. No new player wants to get repeatedly pubstomped by level 30s. No bronze player wants to get trashed on by golds+. There's something wrong with your system.
I'm sure if you ran the numbers for 100 matches, they would come out to an even rating in matches. However, what happens to your "growing" player base when people decide at match 10 that this just isn't the game for them?
This is just food for thought. Thanks for your time.
