Nothing he says here is at all wrong. I've played ADC to diamond and if I play against players in almost any elo, there's a ton of situations where you just have no say on the outcome as adc. I really don't think that any changes to crit items are going to fix anything either, damage needs to come down for that role to stop feeling like shit.

Look, so many people think League is supposed to be a game where everyone has a “say on the outcome”.

This is so wrong.

League is, first and foremost, a team game. The winner of a game is teamwork - not any one role, not any one position, not any one damage type, and not any one player. I get that League appeals to demographics that this is hard to accept in - namely teenagers and young adults. But for real. It’s a team game as much as football is.

How often do you say “damn the linebacker doesn’t have a say on the outcome”? You don’t - because while they’re really not that important individually, the team is what has a say on the outcome. If only League players would have the same attitude football teams do.

I disagree about the crit changes, I'm really excited about them. Being able to get a defensive item that protects you against burst specifically as your FIRST item without screwing up your build or scaling at all is spicy.

I do agree that damage needs to come down across the board, but assassins will need to be compensated. They walk a razor's edge of damage thresholds. If they don't engage and get a kill, they die. It wouldn't matter that damage got reduced, because 3-5 people shooting at you still kills you, so if you go in, dump all your cooldowns, and don't get a kill as an assassin, you are worthless to your team. Assassins would need to be retooled around either chunking somebody and retreating, or finishing off enemies who are brought low and try to escape. This means a buff to their mobility, either in the form of target access or their escape. Their job wouldn't be to 100-0 people, it would be to 50-0 people and make it out alive.

right now mages in general have the most say. The biggest talkers are people like brand who just press r and win a team fight cause they built liandrys first item. tanks also dont have a say. Neither do a good bit of bruisers who cant team fight.
