This game can be so fun, but on the flip side can be so demoralizing its not even funny. Shit like this makes me ask myself why do i even play this stupid fucking game... oh yes then followed up by game with a flaming teemo support who is trolling and flaming me the entire game... (this happens AT LEAST 1 in 10 games)

Probably because those plat and gold players they faced also had gold 5 mmr, or the teams averaged out to a similar mmr.
The system has lots of problems, but you can't just half-acknowledge the MMR system and then leave it out of the second half of your example. That's painting a very skewed picture.
honestly i wish i was challenger skill level and can carry that game but i'm not, i'm a gold player trying to improve to plat this season but situations like this are over whelming cuz it ends up being a 3 lane lost fiesta in an extremely snowballing meta
Weird thing tho is that the estimated MMR difference is super huge. So that means that when you lost, you probably lost little to no mmr (while still losing lp ofc). So that's not so bad at the end because what really matters is your MMR.
