Karma is a mage primary support secondary. Shes a strong midlaner, but all immobile mages are useless against assassin meta.
She is actually far more oppressive of a support than Morgana or Sona, as her cooldowns, low mana cost, and mobility makes her quite effective at spamming and kiting. She deals decent damage, even without a whole lot of AP, and can remain a threat throughout the game.
I think if she seen more play, she would probably get nerfed, but right now, she is like Aniva: very strong, not incredibly popular, but very powerful currently. Just no one knows how to play her anymore.
Shes very strong laner, especially top vs melee's. However she falls off extremely hard as a damage dealer late game so you better end that game before 30 mins.
