im wondering why Karma is so used in lcs play

Strong early game. Really good team utility late. Scales well with items, so can be solo as well as support. It doesn't totally boil down to, "she can make your whole team run fast", but it helps a lot. :)

High mobility is definitely one reason. Pros like high mobile champions and it is why champions like Lucian Elise Fiora LeeSin Nidalee Leblanc Ekko and others are played frequently.

If you have high base mobility or a skill that grants a buff to mobility you are probably in the champion pool for a pro.

Great lane bully and lacks any true counters due to her versatile kit and strong defensive options. As a support she does well against Braum who is the strongest tank support pick atm and goes even at worst with Bard , Nami , and Zyra . Her AP ratios let her scale HARD with items and she's an excellent team fighter. She also keeps up well in a meta that is prone to snowballing and even though her damage does fall off against tanks her R+E is the strongest shield in the game atm.

At level 1 she already has her ult and if she ult Q's you and u stay inside the range for the 2nd damage you are already under half health from just 1 shot. I have probably only used her a few times and i was in a game today where i chose fill and ended up getting mid. The only mids im confortable using got banned and picked so i just said F it and picked Karma......i was vs a Fizz. I did good, won lane and even got a chest for the S- grade i got.
