I still think Stealth is the most over powered mechanic in the game that no one cares about.

I think a lot of people are so focused on meta picks that champions like Wukong, Vayne, Talon, Akali, and Shaco (other stealth champions) do not get the attention they need. (When I talk about stealth I mean tactical stealth, "Invisibility is a form of stealth that is activated while in-combat to grant a champion a reprieve, or the ability to reposition.") Quoted From Wiki. http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Stealth#Invisibility

There is very little counter-play to these champions once they get rolling mid to late-game.

The only option is to group up and protect the back line, ward the flanks or to make sure we save our CCs for them. But during the late-game there are a lot of more immediate threats that need to be dealt with and it is hard to nail these champions in many solo Q games where coordination is not the number one skill. This becomes increasingly difficult when they are split pushing or avoiding fights and forcing you to play this endless ward war with them until you are in a perfect positon.

In this article, I am going to focus on one example, Teemo, because I believe he is the most frustrating of the sheathed champions

Just like old season(s), when a player selected Karthus, it forced half the enemy team to purchase Zhonya's or a Banshee's Veil. Now, when a player select's Teemo most of the team must purchase a "Oracle Alteration" or else they risk dying to shrooms. This gives the enemy the vision advantage because you are always out warded, and in League of Legends warding is the key to success.

Teemo forces your team to give up the ward advantage, Karthus does not. Instead you are forced to buy a defensive item that also helps in combat. I think wards are stronger than Zhonya's because being able to spot the enemy means you can avoid unfavorable fights or engage in favourable ones. But, to give up the ward advantage to deal with Teemo is unfair compared to the Karthus example.

In most games where there is a Teemo, my team is behind in wards, because we do purchase a Oracle's Alternation. But, it is very frustrating because the enemy team always see's us before we see them because we are constantly rechecking each brush to make sure they are clear. You can imagine how frustrating this becomes when you need to push from your base to their base. Every brush becomes a teemo trap, and if your lucky we find the enemy's ward. We must purchase more control wards than the other team, sometimes if it goes into the late game, we also must purchase a Banshee's Veil (just like that Karthus example). This becomes more frustrating when your team is behind because buying control wards means delaying your items. When you lack vision, facechecking with an oracle's to clear them is never a great idea. This becomes more frustrating when the enemy starts contesting you over it.

I am writing because I want some items to allow players to spot stealth units for a few seconds, or, give vision with combat stats, like Wriggle's Lantern. I remember there were items back in Dominion and Twisted Tree Line that spotted stealth units, or how Corki’s Q, spotted stealth units for a few seconds. Because the only way to avoid a ward deficit is to purchase a sightstone, this is not a option on most champions except Lee Sin, or your support (who most of the time [on both] teams has a sight stone).

Can there be more vision combat items like Wriggle's Lantern designed for non junglers? More skills that reveal stealth? Or, allow the purchasing of normal wards?

Like Dota 2, there are items like Dust of Appearance, Sentry Wards, and Spot mechanics on Hero(s) that allow us to deal with stealth. Sometimes I feel I am playing a Dota 2 game where there is no stealth spotting mechanics and it is very frustrating to deal with. If you are a Dota 2 player you would understand how annoying stealth is without dust, wards, or mechanics like Slardar’s Corrosive Haze or Bounty Hunter’s Bounty. I do not understand why the game is going backwards. We are lucky that in League of Legends there are only a few champions that have stealth. In Dota 2, everyone can be stealthed, buy a Shadow Blade, or, purchase Smoke of Deceit.

I do not agree with Riot stealth changes, it is very one sided, bring back stealth revealing mechanics on champions to add some spotting mechanics to the game. I agree with control wards not granting true sight, but give champions some skill shots that have the “potential” to reveal stealth units for a few seconds. Or, provide us with more vision combat items that do not force us into vision deficits because of one champion.

If you land a skillshot on an Invisible enemy, you see them 'shimmer', letting you know where they are and which direction they're likely going.

While I do believe Invisibility is too strong on Vayne currently, I don't think it's flawed as a mechanic and can't be balanced. Akali, Wukong, Shaco, Talon... These are champions I have no issue with.

Then again, I play Fighters and Tanks mostly, so maybe it's just me.

Honestly I fully agree... Stealth is busted. But who cares anymore... this entire game is pure trash atm... Lethality and Edge of night have ruined this game. Riot doesn't care... and they dont address or give us feedback about fixing it.
