After his rework people have been using him as an adc but, how is he an adc? And how do you use him botlane?

Mordekaiser isnt an ad glass cannon carry champ. taking him bottom is a kill lane. A very effective kill lane. idk why people dont understand this

he gets full exp from any minions he kills so it's basically having a top laner bot lane for the entire laning phase. So while he doesn't have too much more gold then the opponent he'll have a higher level advantage. abuse the lev2 power spike and especially the lev6 power spike. The reason why the lev6 power spike is so important is because once you kill the opposing bot lane lvl6 and lv4 vs 2 lvl4s you can go all king arthas and enslave the dragon. this will let you siege down turrets. if you can't take down at least one turret when you have the dragon ghost then you're playing him wrong. while you have the dragon ghost you can't use your ult but if say, you're sieging and the dragon takes turrent aggro and dies ult the most vulnerable target.

Mordenkaiser synergies well with melee aggressive supports like leona or blitzcrank. he also synergizes will with ranged supports who can get him to an enemy. such as zilean, or nami. if you're supporting for mordekaiser get righteous glory, and talismen of ascension. you're job is not so much to protect mordenkaiser as to make sure he can get to the right targets. Mordenkaiser in turn cannot build full damage like an adc can. he should get one mabye 2 damage items, then work on defense and stickyness. once he gets to an opponent he wants to make sure they can't escape.

Because he does not suffer from being under leveled in a duo lane, which is what makes non-marksmen non-viable in a duo lane.

hes not an adc. hes a melee bruiser whos made for duo laning.

He isn't an ADC.

He's a Juggernaut that was designed to hold the farmer lane position in bottom lane, as opposed to the support position like every other tanky melee bottom laner.

Lane positions and champion archetypes are different things. It just gets confusing because one of the lane positions is named after an archetype, Support. Personally, I think 'Twat Coddler' is a better name for the lane position.

He in not an ADC. He is a duo lane carry, a high damage dealer that needs a support to thrive. Please. Don't build him IE PD BT LW.

He fills the position of "ADC". This means: In the duo lane as the farming champ. In the current META, there are 2 solo laners, a jungler and a duo lane. In the duo lane, there is a farming team member (traditionally ADC) and a non-farming team member (traditionally Support).

Since duo lane has been ADC + support for such a long time, the names of the role and position have kind of fused. (Which didn't happen in the solo lanes because you can have assassins, mages or even bruisers in midlane and the same kind of diversity in top and jungle.)

However, that doesn't mean ADC and support are always botlane and that botlane always consists of an ADC and a support.

There have been ADCs succesful in toplane (Vayne, Quinn) and midlane (Ezreal, Varus). There have also been supports popular in other lanes. Best example atm is Lulu who is more popular in both top and mid than she is in the support position. Still, her main role is support, even though she now also deals significant damage, professional team pick her up for her utility (buffing an ADC or Olaf).

On top of ADC/Supports going to other lanes, there are other roles fitting in the ADC/Support slot. For ADC, this hasn't happened on a large scale before Morde's rework, but Mages bot were kind of a thing for some time. For supports actually, most champs that we currently call "support champs" aren't actually support champs. Support champs are those that bring utility to their team. Auras, buffs, heals, shields and other forms of protection: Janna, Braum, Soraka, etc. However, a lot of champs that we call "support" are actually TANKS IN THE POSITION OF SUPPORT. Leona, Blitzcrank, Nautilus, Alistar. Their primary role is being a tank. They fit amazingly well in the support slot as they provide great CC and don't need a lot of gold to buy items in order to succeed at this. Another group of champs that fit the support slot are mages. Annie, Zyra, Morgana, Brand, etc. as they a great kill potential and/or poke in the botlane. Not all mages perform well here, though, mainly those with good base stats and relatively lower AP scaling as their damage is significant even without the standard (costly) mage build.

Tl;dr: Morde fits the ADC position, just like Leona fits the support position. The difference is that Morde is new to this position, while Leona has been there for a long while and we generalized the term "support" for everyone in that position. Sites like Champion.gg use the position to name the difference between top, mid, adc, etc. and have seperate statistics for them. That's mainly the reason why we call it "ADC morde" although building him as an adc would make no sense, and his role isn't ADC (He's a bruiser, but currently has kind of a unique role as he needs to be supported. Kind of like Olaf in a sense.)
