A friend of mine "Best Meguca NA" (I asked them permission to mention) and myself, "Ping"

Tested the theory of and On the PBE today.

They got fed early, and got Dusk blade as a second Item. They noted to me that it was actually a lack-luster building the item commenting.

"It takes a second" I asked about this and they went more in-depth saying that

#"The new dusk blade passive that deals bonus true damage, takes about a second of invisibility to actually proc."

In light of this information. Staying invisible just for that Proc, Vayne would actually lose a good portion of her DPS, than if she was to build normally.

The only ADC who may be able to pull it off could be Twitch, but I'm sure as well as other may agree that there are probably better items for the plague rat to build.

Do you think that this change could make Vayne a better duelist in the top lane? In duels I feel that she may be more able to fully utilize the 1 second of stealth that her ult provides considering that she is worried less about dps and more about positioning in those cases. Thoughts?

As far as Toplane is concerned, I have no idea really. I main the bot lane.

#You may have to ask another person on PBE who goes top lane to test this theory.

However, I'm sure that if Vayne does become a problem with this item, Riot will probably deal with it in their special ways.

Perhaps they may increase that invisibility needed for it from 1 second to 2.

Duration needed to proc passive: ~~1 second~~ ---> 1.01 seconds

I doubt it will be worth buying in most cases. She still wants those w procs from attack speed, and if she wants ad she'd probably do better with one of the other ad items (bork, mercurial, bt, ie). It sounds more like a brush control/ambush item designed to be a "one and done" kinda deal. Also, is there a cooldown on the true damage? If so, that would kinda defeat the purpose of it on her.

I have a feeling it will be good on Akali though. A second in stealth as Akali is going to happen quite a lot and her scaling seems more in favour of AD than it used to be.

I'm thinking that the best way to build Akali might be something like item 3146 item 3147 item 3026 item 3068 item 3065 item 3047 / item 3111
