So do we have to finish these "preseason placements"?
I'd rather just stop playing ranked until season 7, do we have to finish them or will it effect us if we don't?

If you play ranked in the preseason and climb it'll be taken into account supposedly when you do your real placements.
But Riot says that every year and everyone still drops a rank and half to three ranks or so. So yeah. Whatever you wanna do man.
