Alright, so that's a question I asked myself from quite some time :

Let's say I get to Gold IV for position A and I am done with it.

Now, I want ti play other positions to see where I can get with the. What happens if I am getting some in a row loss and negative splash hits.

Will the Gold IV rank be deranked to Silver or something?

You will lose lp in your main rank, but it won't be as much right off the bat. yes in theory your rank could decay, but we aren't sure yet because that wasn't covered and the system isn't out yet.
