How To Get Out Of Silver.

It's simple and very effective, none of those long paragraphs you see on the boards that basically repeat everyone else.

  1. Survive And CS You don't need to be mowing down the opposition, getting kills is great. Know what else is great? Not dying and getting that cs! This was something I learnt since my early COD4 days. "How are you doing so well" - I asked the top fragger. "Don't focus on getting kills, focus on not dying. The kills will pile up." - Top Fragger

  2. Paying Attention To The Minimap Look to see where people are, allowing you to overextend safely or get an objective.

This is the MOST important one, pay attention now.

  1. LEARN TO DODGE LOBBY Just by doing this last step alone, you won't lose LP as much! For example, I just dodged a match where toplane picked Xin Zhao. A quick OP.GG discovered he's lost 7 out of 8 games with Xin Zhao and one of his most recent losses he went 2/13!And what happened? I lost 3 LP instead of 18. I relogged and got a reward (No joke)

The point is silver, some of us, we aren't good enough to carry and that's okay. You just follow #1 and #2 and shut up and let someone else boss you around! Simple. Incorporate #3 into your daily routine and you'll be much happier, don't risk your LP when you know a pick is bad and insane, don't give them the benefit of the doubt, "Oh they probably just had a bad game ...those last 10 games" Trust me, take the -3 and be happy.

those work better when you internet is stable enough to play ranked.. rip my goal of getting to gold this season...

these are really good tips.. but at the end of the day it all comes down to how much gold lead the enemy has over your team. you are one player out of 10.. you're 10% of the game. expecting to modify the outcome of even a quarter of the game based on how you play if you do the same every game is statistically extremely small. it all depends on the teams you get.. and dodging when u get people who troll in champ select is the best way to put that randomness in your favor.

is it cheating the system? yeah probably.. but the system shouldn't be giving me morons on my team anyways.. its supposed to give an ten players of "equal skill lvl" not a "50% chance to win" example: two diamonds 3 bronze a gold and a silver on each team

you control 10% of the outcomes of your game. the more games you play the more you climb and/or the more you fall.

if you put faker in silver 5 and limit him to ranked game per week do u think he is going to reach challenger by the end of the season.

its pretty damn easy to be in a rank lower than your actual skill level in fact is GUARANTEED at the beginning of each season unless you got boosted last season

I mean right off the bat you're wrong. You can contribute much more than 10% to a game if you know what you're doing

so once again in order to climb through a tier of rank you need to be better then the rank you are playing in?

yes, that is ONE of the requirements.. what I'm saying is that it's not the ONLY one. which is why people need to stop insulting players of "lower rank" and start treating them based on how much knowledge they have on a particular subject. i would take advise on champ champion from a silver or gold player with 500 games on them over a challenger player with 20.

you don't take a brain surgeon and tell him ask him how to properly weld underwater. and you don't take an underwater welder and tell them to operate on someone's brain.

the the brain surgeon PROBABLY smarter, sure there is a high chance of that. but even then you ask people about subjects they know and take the information based on their knowledge of the subject, and even then it could very well be the welder is smarter than the surgeon.. and the just liked welding so much that they wanted to do that.

i can easily have high respect for a person and realize they have a worthless opinion on something and i can choose to ignore that opinion because quite frankly i know a lot more about the subject than they do. i know my strengths i know my weaknesses. i know what i know and i know what i don't know. (that statement sounds weird that way but I'm not sure how else you would say it properly to make it no confusing). i try my best not to make opinions of something i frankly have no data for.

underwater welding is a very very dangerous job that takes alot of talent, skill and intelligence typical earnings for the average medium salary is 46k-80k offshore based on experience 100K + yearly and they are classified as "commercial divers " this is a specialist type of work. and so is a brain surgeon

now being a brain surgeon you do have to attend school for a long time to gather knowledge in order to do your job... i wouldnt say you have to be more intelligent then someone who is a commercial diver ... i would say they are both SKILLED TRADES ... reason a surgeon is paid more is cuz it happens to have to do with dealing with human body... and the risk involved /liabilities on said surgeon plus the lengthy education process 8 yrs college + medical school , internship generally 1 yr , then 5-7 yrs as a resident so they put in legit 14-16 yrs of training in average salary is based on experience but medium range is about $500k

but then again i know master certified auto techs who are labeled world class by general motors who make $150k+ a year and yes it working on cars but its a very skilled and technical job which takes years to master. and you have to be very intelligent. but the trade off is you dont have to put in 14-16 yrs of school + internship+ residency nor have to deal with the liabilities that of a surgeon/doctor .

since i cant deal with working with humans or on them ( not really strong stomach for that stuff ) i chose to work on cars and am a ASE certified auto tech for GM whos specialty is drive ability, engine performance, fuel n tune, emissions , electrical systems and communication systems for vehicles. basically im an IT tech with a wrench lol. i have an associates in applied sciences, a 2 yr diploma from trade school, 3 ASEs , 5 yrs in at dealership

I don't think these are enough to get one out of silver.

I have seen Plat "gods" wreck my silver team by powerfarming to level 17 with 200-300 farm while we are all behind. But an equivalent silver player trying that never turns out well for whatever reason. I agree on the dodging thing. But you never know. I once won a game with 4 other guys at <40% WR. I was in promo so no point in dodging imo and we won out (by a lot). Op.gg isn't everything sometimes. Don't ask me how the other team lost.

I don't believe you are qualified to talk about getting out of silver if you are in silver. I am willing to listen to people generally, but you can't talk like you know better when you haven't acted upon it.

I'm acting* on it. I just recently started to rank and I'm about to get s2 with a 51% win rate or 50.
