Decision: Is autofill really necessary?

I know, I know, I understand, nobody wants to play support, so rito has to implement autofill so some people who has no idea how to play support will be assigned to support on a random chance. And here's where the question comes in: is autofill really necessary?

Sure, autofill can reduce about 5-10 minutes of queue time, which is huge, make no mistake. However, once someone on your team is autofilled as support or even, you are autofilled to support and you have no idea how to support, then we're looking at a potential waste of 45 minutes on a lost game. Now I want everyone to think about this: Is the 5-10 minutes of queue time reduced by autofill worth the 45 minutes and 20 lp you waste on a lost game?

In my opinion, Riot should conduct a mass-scale survey that asks the player whether they feel like autofill is necessary or not, like the one I'm going to conduct here, only on a much larger scale.
