it relies on your laner very much. What I tend to do is throw w in as far as i can so that the laner starts running the other way. If you can get the slow off on them the laner can usually jump on it and start taking advantage. if not you'll probably get them to burn a ss or two anyways. Kindred requires much more communication with the team than most junglers due to the fact that her kit encourages her to make risky plays constantly.
Another piece of advice i'd say is - dying is NOT worth a mark. it just isn't. Only ever invade if you just cleared 3 of them or you KNOW they're all bot and you can see with your EYEBALLS That all 5 characters are far away from you. also do not dive someone you marked just because they are low if it means you will die. you do more damage alive with one less mark than dead for 20 seconds with an extra mark.
edit:
definitely go warlords for the sustain. I've heard some people take thunderlords for some reason but i've never tried it. Kindred's clear is okay at best early on and having the extra sustain only helps her get better.
a few other tips: First mark is literally always a crab. Start blue, take gromp, then wolves, and by the time you're finishing up wolves if you clear fast enough your mark will appear either right next to you and you grab it (depending on the jungler- if you know they start the other buff it should be safe, but i usually ask my mid or support to throw a ward in river for me so i can scope it out.) or you make your way to the opposite side. if it's on the opposite side you have to play more carefully because it gives the enemy jungler more time to react.
As for first mark as rule of thumb i always mark jungler in case i catch them low at first crab if they come to contest me, or i countergank and get them, or i invade them if im feeling cocky. Sometimes on blue side i'll sit in their red bush after getting first crab on top and wait for them to get low while fighting red, smite to steal, then get first blood on them or get them to flash. At best i get a mark or a summoner and at worst I can usually get away before mid/top has time to react. (explode into baron, hop away) remember your W lowers the cooldown on your Q so use it while you're escaping.
Q --> W far ahead of you so that you can Q two more times while you're in it, and you should be okay unless they flash.
