Because both of those champions are high in mechanical requirements. If you play something that takes up too much of your brain power on executing on mechanics, you have less brain power available to think about and learn important skills for climbing like map-awareness, lane/minion control, rotations, pressure, objective control, trading stance, split-pushing (when and when not to), as well as communication and teamwork skills required to work well on a team with strangers.

Trust me, if you decide to play a champion with a lot of mechanics, you're gimping yourself and making it harder to climb.

My suggestion is to pick those champs up to play in normals for fun, and once you have a better grasp on macro play and a good understanding of the characters you want to play, then it's safe to play them in ranked as you will be less likely to gimp yourself.

neither preferably. if you're low elo and hoping to gain, you should be playing simple champs.

To get into they are probably on the same level. Riven is harder to master imo.

Alright then. But my question to you is should lets say,Camille, because you said it's easier to master,in ranked in low elo after getting used to her kit, understanding her role, finding your preffered playstyle etc etc?

If you want to put alot of time into it, watch hours of Youtube guides, and feed your butt off for at least your first 50 games, do Riven. She has a near limitless skill ceiling meaning that you will always be getting better at her. But she also almost never gets any buffs. Only nerfs. But if you are a skilled Riven player, it won't matter, your outplay potential is insane.

Camille... not much to be said. She's strong at the moment. And (not that she's easy) she is far easier than Riven. So you will get wins faster than if you do Riven.

But mastering both would be great as that would mean you are building your champion pool.

Also, I don't play either of them. So take my advice with a grain of salt...

Both are easy, forgiving champions that are hard to make a mistake with.

And even if you do make a mistake they have shields, escapes that makes it hard for your opponents to punish those mistakes.

Use comet on Camille and aftershock on Riven for maximum safety.

Right now Camille is stronger overall, but she will undoubtedly get nerfed. However, Riven snowballs harder.

Play Other Easy Champs Like Yasuo, Zed, Or Lee Sin Instead
