League losing it's mojo at an alarming rate.

I'm all for an update to the old rune/mastery system, but the new rune system just isn't ready to go live. I play on commercial, but feel like a beta tester. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if they rolled this system back for as long it takes to iron out all of the issues. Isn't this what the pb server is for? Just because it's not crashing people's rigs doesn't mean it's ready to RTM.

As for now, I've uninstalled to remind myself that I don't want to log in for at least a month or two. And it's distressing because I've been at this for years, and like many of you I'm thousands of dollars in, but I just don't like the way it feels anymore.

Anyway, I just wanted to let my humble opinion be made known.

I agree that league is losing mojo, but I would argue its due to its ranked ladder matching, not runes. Its preseason, we expect calamity, or.. should.

Jesus I did play in season 1 but only put 30 euro in. The first time I got a punishment from the failbunal was when I stopped supporting Riot at all. If they want their SJW course for the game, fine, but I won't buy anything.

I have a lot of disdain for Riot, they are terrible developers who primarily recruit failed talent from Blizzard. Also the popularization of the word ''toxic'' by Riot makes me wish Los Angelos was destroyed tomorrow by the fat shortie from NK.

i dont like the fps bug that plagues my gameplay. i've found other ppl with the same problem. but theres no hotfix yet. i dont like waiting for patches when the need for buffs n nerfs is high and bug fixes. cuz im tired of my fps being at 16 when it's usually at 60

You are obviously new to this game. Every pre season is a horrible mess and this one is the best pre season we actually ever had. You weren't around for Black cleaver, Feral Flare, The god cinderhulk and the Ancient Golem, the ezreal spirit of the elder lizard to make these claims on the game dying. We also don't know what rewards we get for level 40 45 50 yet, it could be Blue essence AND multiple champ shards (maybe 5), it could be BE and keys for chests with capsules. Pre-season is also a time where they work on 500 things at once before season goes live. We are all technically beta testers ever november-january. This is normal every season.

The reason it hits Live, even if it seems strong on PBE, because PBE sucks at assessing strength. Most players are on trying out skins, the Ranked system is barren, and the credibility of players on PBE has lead to things like Reworked Skarner. This may be lessened, since Riot has opened up PBE to more people but there aren't a lot that play PBE seriously.

Now you can argue about the internal testing team, but that's a whole nother argument in general.

They need to either do a game wide buff to armor and resist flat stats or reduce the damage output, because I keep getting nuked to death at level 1-2 and it's so fucking dumb.

I always considered myself a person who will very hard quit league for short or long period of time but after this preseason patch from IP to BE change to shitty fps drops i uninstalled it. I bet many people like me did the same and Riot is seeing those numbers, that is my friends how you ruin a good game over the years by supidity and not listening to community on time.

How does one define/measure "mojo", because it is vague and undefined.

Anyways, i like the new system and am having fun with it. Preseason is the time to balance the rune system as the PBE is for testing bugs not necessarily balance the new introductions.

I pretty much agree, and what ticks me off the most about the new system, is that it cannot achieve anywhere close to the scale the old system could. and i also dislike not being able to modify stats of whatever champ i'm choosing, because some champs really just suck without a better lv 1-3 experience, and things like armor runes or attack speed runes were extremely useful in making some champs viable.

Some champs are so weak at level 1, that without the old rune system, i don't even consider them playable.

another example of this; with the old system i could get up to 41% bonus attack speed at lv 1 w/ all attack speed runes. The max i can get now with the new system is 18% at lv 1.

PBE is mainly for bug testing, not gameplay balance.

There is no mmr in the PBE like in the live game which means that there is more than likely always an imbalance of skill, which means that it's an inadequate setting to judge gameplay balance. You also need to consider that there is only one PBE server shared among all regions which means a lot of players have to push through high pings.

This is is why it makes sense to bring out big changes at the end of a season (although I understand you can still play ranked and raise/lower your mmr). Riot could consider shutting down the ranked ladder completely during a preseason but I don't think it would go over well with the playerbase.

I don't agree with all of the changes to the game so far but I just want to clarify to people that the PBE does not exist for balance nor should it.

People will never leave. Despite how poorly Riot treats them they've already invested so much money in this game they're practically shareholders with shares.

Sure they just got diluted with the devaluation but they still own so many cosmetic trinkets already.

Yeah, I am on the edge having finally had my first level up and feeling severely underwhelmed and after most games I win by rolling all over enemy leaving me feeling unaccomplished while the ones I loose feeling overwhelmed by the fact I seriously cannot go 10 minutes without either a 3v2 or a 4v2 bot lane anymore ...

I am really saddened by this but I think you have the right idea, not quitting just uninstalling for well ... as long as it takes.
