Should I dodge if someone trolls during Champ select? (ELO HELL)

I got mid in ranked que, then picked ziggs. Then the ADC said he wanted to mid and picked Sylas against Jihn, then asked me to adc. Then the support started flaming and said someone should dodge or it's auto loss. Needless to say, we lost. I can't dodge because i'll get auto LPQ with a 20min wait time even though i haven't dodged a ranked game in over a year.

I read somewhere that if you want to climb consistently, you should use dodge que occasionally (like once a week) if you detect trolling during champ select like flaming, troll picks, or someone deciding to play a first time hero during ranked.

what's the deal?

Just to share my insight here.

On my last account I decided to dodge when people were being dumb in pre game lobby and ultimately had a better experience over all.

If you " know " someone is dicking around, why waste 30 minutes?

What I read is that you should dodge about one ranked game a day

And as many unranked games as you want obviously, just not many in a row or you'll wait a long time.

I can tell you that if I was in your situation I would have definitely dodged.

The short answer is "Yes"

the slightly longer answer is "Fuck yes" You're gonna giga lose anyways, get a 3lp loss instead of 16.

You can lose up to 10 LP per dodge for dodging often. And even that's a small price to pay even with the dodge timer that goes along with it.

Dodging does not hurt your MMR and you do not risk being demoted for dodging either.

Just rolling with a bad team comp/obvious trolls is an almost guaranteed loss that can lose you anywhere between 14 and 20 LP as well as negatively impact your MMR so that your next win nets you less LP than you would have earned otherwise.

Dodging affects your LP not your MMR

This means that you can game the system somewhat Since your LP gains are determined by your MMR losing LP through dodging doesn't really affect your climb

This is only applicable if someone gives you a valid reason that he will lose the game having sub 50% win rate or being a dick isn't a reason they will lose you the game and you can't account for someone getting camped and tilting your whole team so dodging is worth if you are doing some climbing challenge (to preserve your mmr) or someone is obviously going to ruin your game

You have to judge the people on your own and make the choice 1st dodge for 16h is 3lp 6min queue penalty 2nd and onwards dodge in 16h is 10lp 30min queue penalty

no way, just get into the game first, if they troll there then just afk, or better yet play till the game is winnable and the troll starts trying to win and then troll his dumb ass. did that yesterday and I made some troll quit league, good fucking riddance pigscusting swine piss of the earth abortion tier motherfucker can get aids for wasting my time.
