Is quickcast faster than smartcast?

Quickcast: execute ability upon pressing key Smartcast: if you hold the key, the range for the skill comes up, and the skill executed once you release.

My question is , if you tap a key using smartcast, the indicator doesn’t come up and it acts like quickcast, but Im wondering if there’s a delay at all here

There is. I have tried it on Taric before for his stun and there is a very noticeable delay when doing a combo. I don't think it would matter on most champions but it really screws up his auto attack pattern with his passive.

Use quick cast easy as that

you can always pick and choose which abilities you want on quick case and what you don't. Some abilities are just too hard/impossible to use right with quick cast on.

Quick cast is slightly faster.

Quick cast goes off immediately, while smart cast only does so when you release.

So with higher lag/latency, or with just slower finger movement, quick cast will be noticeably faster than smart cast.

I would assume faster. I only use quickcast except for Viktors e.
