Why we need to stop being so criticale off the Jungler

The Jungler is like the goalie in soccer. You don't blame him. The goalie can't miss the ball until he has gotten past every player. In the same way the Jungler can't fail to save your lane until you have lost it. Having a good goalie goalie is defiantly nice and may just win you some close games by themselves , and a good Jungler can carry every lane at once. As a team you need to be able to function without a star player though especially in a game where you will have different teammates every game. It is also equally true in rare occasions that an absolutely terrible Jungler who feeds your lane can lose it for you, like a goalie with like a 1/10 block ratio. If you encounter a Jungler like this more then 1 out of 50 games, you are juging them to harshly. Different situations call for different strategies. Your lane is competing with 2 other lanes, 4 buffs, camps, the enemy jungle and Dragon for his attention. If you are a Yi losing to LS your best bet is to just ward your jungle farm, steal his camps/buffs whenever he ganks, wait for him try a risky play then run in, gank a diffrent lane when he gank's, outscale, and maybe try to get another player to do well to make up for your mistakes. A Shaco player who is 4/1/0 would play much differentially. His Job would become to use his power to make the oppents lose reasorse (Buffs and Dragon + Ward expenses) and get someone on his team some kills in case the game takes a while. Then even after that you need to factor in the match ups of every lane and who the other Jungler is, and what's his play style, the overall team comp's and what they need to do to win, and circumstance, for how the Jungler will shift his attention. Sometimes It is better to just let a lane die. I know many people will disagree with me on this but once there is +5 kill difference the lane is dead You coming gank is Risky (could give him a double kill), with low pay out (best case-scenario everybody recalls).

Yea, those games when bot and top push out so you can´t gank while mid gets killed 1v1 and suddenly you have the opponent midlaner supporting his jungler on invading your jungle... Lanes just have a really big impact on what a jungler can provide for the Team (especially midlane, if your midlaner can´t go at least even you lose a terrible amount of pressure on thw whole map, as you can´t really go around to at least ward out the other jungler without making yourself very vulnerable to being killed by their midlane+jungle).

I wish people thought of this with everyone on their team. Games would be much more understanding than "OMG! F@#$ YOU FOR FEEDING YOU MO@#$% F@#$%@!"

Attention of each zone:

Jungle- Buffs, camps, 3 lanes, dragon, baron, wards

Support- Bot Lane, progress of k/d/a of mid to see if a quick roam is helpful, wards, 2 enemy players in lane, a jungler who could intercept you during a push or a roam

ADC- CS, junglers, 3 other players who have too many options, item progress

Mid- Level appropriate to other mid laner, extreme health/resource awareness, possibility of helping push top or bot, possibility of helping jungler by taking blue or red buff of enemy jungler

Top- Ability to push, item progression to become initiator, scale of other top laner, location of jungler to ping

Just the small details of how busy the map is at GO TIME.

I just mute people when they bitch at me for not ganking as much as they want. Those people have no understanding of what it is to jungle. They just think you are there to win their lane for them.

The problem is that only junglers are likely reading this thread. People who don't jungle don't have a clue. I say the same thing every time: I can't win your lane for you. If you're losing that's on you, and likely even if we got a kill you'd lose lane anyway. If you push your lane, I'm not coming. If you don't ward and get ganked, it's not my fault. I'm not going to "camp" a lane. This would mean I get no CS, which means no levels or items. It also means no pressure in other lanes, and no objectives.

Honestly the only thing I hate is when someone is pushing their lane and dying often while complaining about a lack of ganks. Lanes aren't inherently gankable you have to do work to set up the gank like letting the enemy ward and seeing where it is so the jungle can avoid it.

I recently hit 30 and have tried to spend quite a bit of time trying to learn all the lanes and jungle. I do like jungle quite a bit but often don't want to play it just because of people complaining who have obviously never even attempted it. Not to say I am really good or anything, sometimes the mistakes ARE mine. But people seem to think that with sole item that offers zero to engages at low levels that you can come in and just win a fight by yourself. Or that they are going to push up to enemy tower and call for some kind of turret dive gank at level 3. Or that with no boots you can somehow manage to be at top lane and bottom lane at same time and then get upset that you don't have any eq and levels later without realizing that you aren't getting gold and exp for running up and down the river for the first 5 minutes or sitting in their bushes waiting for them to pull back.

I am all for looking around and seeing if a lane is gankable. getting kills or helping team get kills is great. But laners have to work for it too.

I once was jungling as J4 and my top lane singed was proxy farming all game against a top lane Kassadin that he fed. Needless to say it "wasn't his fault" that he died over 10 times to Kassadin because he never got a gank. Not exactly sure what he wanted me to do, get a cataclysm on Kassadin? Even if I baited out a riftwalk there was no chance of killing him before his next R was up. Best case senario nothing happens and I go away empty handed. Instead I got our mid lane over 4 kills that game because I could gank for him. Needless to say a Kassadin with over 10 kills when Kassadin was his strongest means that we lost even though the other lanes were well off.

It bugs me that people think that the junglers job is to give everyone on the team an equal amount of their time. Sorry, this is not communism. A junglers job is to give the team the biggest benefit they can. Sometimes that means only ganking for one lane and letting the others fend for themselves.

Lol no.

You're playing the most influential role this game has early and mid game. If you fail to apply pressure (so people burn summoners, etc) or at least win a lane and snowball it, it's you fault the team lost, you can argue top lane fed but if you didn't even make one lane get ahead it's your fault and yours only.

Junglers need to stop being babies and realize how important their early pressure is, nobody is asking you to solo carry, even though the team with the best jungler wins at high elo.
