The New GD

Quite frankly the new boards are terrible and I will likely be switching to other League discussion forums. If Riot cares they will give us the old boards back or something along those lines. If Riot doesn't care, then that's fine too. I will just be much, much more hesitant about spending my money on the game.

Why on earth would I want to be financing changes I disapprove of?

I hate the color, it feels too heavy. Even just a change to the old GD lighter colors would make me like it about 50% more.......

Any other thoughts?

Honestly Id like the old GD back with the message thingy, thats helpful.

Get rid of it. It does not belong in the boards. Do not perpetuate the laziness that is GD any longer.

They're going to see a flood of hate threads until they bring back the old GD. Fucking company doesn't listen to its players that put the clothes on their backs.

It is sub par in pretty much every way but oh well at least GD chat is still a thing. I have no idea why Riot wants to make its playerbase upset all the time.

Made a post with feedback regarding ARAM and it just got deleted. Riot either doesn't seem to care much about feedback or have moderators that happily delete threads with feedback.

Atleast they seem to be more active here deleting feedback threads than on the old forums.

I like it. Then again, I've been using it for a while now, so I'm used to the new features and how it works. I'm also not flat out opposed to the change just for the sake of hating change.

My biggest fear is that by putting GD back on here, they let the boards fall back into a similar state that the forums where in. Right now, it seems that people are actually thinking about where to post things. Other sections of the boards are actually active. They even see a pretty good spread of Rioter participation across the various sections. My fear is that the new GD takes over and becomes the only place where players feel they can have their voices heard, and the only place where they have even a shot at getting a response from Riot. I sincerely hope that threads with real discussion value that get posted in GD get moved into their appropriate sections for discussion, and that Rioters actually spend more of their time in the other sections than in GD. If they reply to a thread in GD that is better suited to another section, it should be promptly moved.

Well, technically this is the new GD, and Boards is more like the rest of the forums.

But, hopefully it won't be a repeat of the old forums, where everyone just posts in GD because that's all anyone ever looks at.
