Seriously.. Riot, Wither is ridiculous.. IF its not bad enough that Nasus is a tank that gets passive damage through his Q and healing.. you literally let Nasus have a 10000 second slow... Fix this ridiculous ^@#$

For how strong the slow is.
Next thing you gonna tell me is that Morganna stun is too long as well?
A nitpick, Nasus isn't a tank but a juggernaut.

To be completely fair, if nasus can not only reach wither range on an adc in a teamfight, and Q them without being cc'd by a tank and the support and melted by the mid and adc, he deserves that kill.
In all seriousness it's Nasus' only way of getting to someone, and the extreme slow is only the last second of its duration. Your support can even grab 
to prevent its effect.
This slow is his way of gapclosing to squishy champions. And despite how ridiculous this slow is, he still gets toyed by hypercarries 
. IF the slow was nerfed riot might aswell remove his stacking mechanic and make him and all out lane bully/snowball champ.
I know it feels aweful in 1v1 to play against nasus slow, but this slow is not nearly strong enough in a game where lategame hypercarries are allowed to have jumps, stealth AND knockbacks. I'd prefer if they made his laning-phase significantly weaker, his lategame stronger. But his slow shouldn't be changed.

Hey here's a great tip for OP. Merc treads cut off the total cc time from the end, meaning that theyre super usefull as they cut out the worst part of wither. This applies for all tenacity.
He doesn't literally have a 10,000 second slow. He might figuratively have one that long because it feels that long. But I'm beginning to think the boards doesn't know what the word literally means.
I don't understand why people always complain about Nasus.
If you want to beat Nasus and keep him from giving you the real good cane, deny him farm and freeze minion waves. If he doesn't have 170-200 stacks by 15 mins he lost lane.
A competent laner will make it hard for Nasus to scale, and if Nasus does scale that player deserves it. If th enemy teams let him scale for free, you deserve to get one shoted and perma slowed.
Nasus has one of the weakest laning phases in the game take that into consideration and make that your advantage when playing him.
I'm a Nasus main, and I can tell you it ain't easy to climb with him playing against decent players. I peaked at gold 2 with him last season, and placed silver 3 this season. It seem like it's easy to steam roll with him in low elos. I'm in silver 2 promos and won 15 of my last 20 with Nasus. Low elo players don't know how to play against him.
It's not really that the wither itself is too long, its more that the CD on it is super short and can be chained on its own. but the REAL issue i have with wither is the reduction on attack speed making it so you cant even fight back, I'm pretty much gonna die anyways at least let me attack you.
go tenacity / slow resist into nasus then? You can get over 50% tenacity from legend:tenacity from the precision tree + merc treads.
You can even get a bit of slow resistance and even more tenacity if you take the unflinching rune.
OR PICK A CHAMPION THAT LITERALLY SAYS "#@# YOU" to slows like 
not

The only reason i can agree with this is that Nasus can keep up with you too well after he uses it. Phase rush, Fleet footwork etc, help him keep up too well. Especially if he makes Phage.
It makes playing vs him super unfun because as a melee you WILL lose the trade because of your movespeed AND attack speed debuffed. If it's gonna stay point and click it needs the movespeed reduction lowered or the attack speed removed entirely.
