7-3 prelims and got bronze 5

That same thing EXACTLY, right to the 7-3 record, happened to me. Why does Riot hate us?

Placements have nothing to do with your actual placement. Makes sense, I know. If your MMR from the previous season was that of someone in Bronze 5, you're going to likely be in Bronze 5. There isn't a hard reset on MMR.

It's called a rank reset for a reason. This is supposed to happen. No matter how many games you win in your provisional, you will be placed lower than your previous rank. It's nearly impossible to be placed at or above your previous rank. And if you were bronze and placed into bronze, what are you complaining about, if you were silver and placed into bronze, what are you complaining about. If you were good enough you can climb out of there in a few days.
