Let's talk about Taliyah

So, Taliyah. Taliyah has been my latest purchase, and I must admit she's one hell of a fun champion to play. I mean, great burst, great roaming, great kit whatsoever, but I see her struggling in the win rates and that hurts, also because I'm starting to think she must be my brand new main. The win rates suggest me not to, my heart tells me to. So why is she that weak, according to the statistics? She needs a buff, she needs some adjustments. Her passive, yeah, kind of cool, useful when rotating lanes maybe, spares time on getting back to lane or go somewhere fast but, really, nothing much else. I feel she needs a new passive, a really effective one. Her Q is great, main source of damage and works just fine, but the passive effect I think needs something more: you just used your Q so whenever you used it you create a circle in which you gain MS (okay, pretty cool), but whenever you cast again Q in that circle your shots are lowered from 5 to 1? Now I know the damage is increased and the cost of mana is lowered, but still this needs to be fixed, why can't she just use her Q again normally? Because of the high damage? Well, some other champions have more obnoxious Q's or W's or E's (Yes, I'm talking to you Brand Orianna Velkoz Syndra Ziggs Xerath Zyra ) and they got no passive on them. Remove the effect or change it to a real threat because if you use Q in your lane pretty everywhere (I mainly play 3v3, imagine in the small lane there), then it becomes difficult to fight back, and it affects the rest of the gameplay, because the time on waiting the circle to go it's really long. Nothing to say on W and E, and/or about ult (even if I feel like she shouldn't come off the wall when getting damaged, but that's me only, I get it can be more balanced if so).

I really want to see Taliyah buffed somehow, and I really want to see her viable because she's great. Let's make her win rate at actually more than 40%!

Peace.

Taliyah got shit on because Riot had no clue what they were doing and ruined something that was fine.

Agreed. People complained she was weak on release just because she wasn't broken like 90% of the champs Rito releases, then they messed her up even tho she was perfectly fine.

I miss her old W. Give us back release Taliyah, Riot! :(

If you wouldn't create one of those circles her Q would need to be nerfed. Yes the winrate isn't the best but I like where she is right now.

Well, it would need to be nerfed just as much as all the champions' above there in the post would be. Brand lands a combo that 80% of times you don't get to dodge, and it lands a TONS of damage since level 1. Same Syndra, same Xerath, same Velkoz, but they also stun and you don't get to do anything a part from cursing and crying. Taliyah doesn't even all that but they still keeping her kit too underpowered. Sure, she is a control mage basically, but I feel her W works differently, and doesn't block/stun you for forever 1-2 seconds.

(Not to count adding the damages from most of those champions' passives, that Taliyah has not)

She needs a revert, not buffs.

Velkoz has no stun

His E not only stuns, but gets you turn around

Taliyah's main problem is that she is not very reliable, and we are currently in a "reliability meta" caused by damage creep.

When everyone deals more than enough damage, the game shifts more towards favouring those with reliability. Being fragile and unreliable makes Taliyah a prime victim for those who are favoured by the reliability meta.

As a Taliyah main, I feel she's in one of her best states right now. If she was to be buffed she might be too strong. However, it would be nice to have buffs/nerfs based around twisted treeline but it just can't happen because of how little it's played compared to Summoner's Rift. Although, I feel her passive could be a lot more. It'd be very nice if she could stay in the state of her highest winrate, but she'd be picked in LCS too much. Not that I care too much about LCS, but Riot definitely does. When she was as strong as she was before it allowed you to do very well with good mastery of the champion, it still is that way, but you just don't get as much success with a lot of mastery of her. Again, she's probably in one of her best states right now.

By a revert do you mean the changes they made to how her w works?

MissingKayo3 votes

Yes because that was the whole and only reason the rest of the stupid changes were made which completely changed her play style.

Which only happened because Riot wanted to promote her for LCS. Sort of like what they did with Kindred. And of course, both got gutted afterwards.
