Unclear about the roles I should play and what types of champs there are.

Hi. I not too long ago reached lvl 30 a month or two ago and I've finally moved from bots to normals. Hooray![slayer-jinx-catface] It has been fun. Met some fellow players that are the same as me and made some friends. Especially during the snowy SR in normals, its so fun and everyone is a better mood for the spirit.

Anyway, let me get to the point. When I started playing, I mostly played Freljordian champions such as Ashe Anivia but mainly these two. Of course Ahri was there because she was the first champ mentioned to me when I was introduced to LoL so naturally she ended up being bought and played. So, throughout my playing from bots to normals, I've been trying all sorts of champions from the hopping and happy Kalista to the wonderful but dangerous MissFortune and I've enjoyed them. I naturally like winning but I've learned that I'm here to improve and winning is second rate to improving as a new player. Though, I'm wondering to myself if I really like the roles I'm playing. I think I like mid, adc, and support but I mostly pick them because I like to be passive. I don't generally like to be up in the face of the enemy. Although, I'm indecisive in these things. I'm trying champions and I don't expect to be good at them but try anyway.

At the moment, I figured just sticking to the little sister (aka Annie) and beauty itself MissFortune would be the best option but I'm unsure. I'm aware that people at my lvl probably already know what they like and dislike now so I'm behind in that aspect. I just wanted some assistance on what roles may be best for me to try or champs that might want to consider. Annie is great and all but maybe its just the winning factor that helps me like them as Dong Huap said on his video on champions to main. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxrIa4276Ms

Anyway, thanks for reading. I know its a lot. Thanks for the assistance and have a merry Christmas and have a happy new year! [slayer-jinx-catface]

you should main 3 champions for each role but you should know how to play every champion

Also you played against bots until level 30

Sorry to tell you this but League of legends is survival of the fittest at the moment you are bronze5 level

Just try different champions that are on free rotation. You never know who you might end up being really good with. Even if they're champs you don't think fit you well, playing them will help you learn more about them, and make you a better player.

Mid/Support sounds like it fits your champs more, with Marksman as a fallback.

You can be aggressive as support, and often it's beneficial to be.

Find a few champs you love to play, and just keep playing them. From time to time, try other champs. The Rotating Game Modes are a great time to try new champs, as they are generally taken less seriously. ARAM is another good place to learn and try new champs, but you can't choose which ones to try specifically.

If you like Annie & MF, best bet is to try and get good at the mid/AD/support roles.

You can play Annie Mid & Support. Other champs that are somewhat similar to Annie you might enjoy: Veigar Lux mid. Zyra Lulu support.

You might like Lissandra mid as well if you were trying the "Freljordian champions".

Other ADCs you might like: Jhin Caitlyn

Maybe you will like those, maybe not. Goal for you would be to find 2 or 3 champs you enjoy at each role and try and get good with them.

Well, TIL I'm not an Ahri one trick because, while I play her a lot, I don't think I can see myself exclusively playing on her. However, I go by the 3 champs per role rule that was you won't be banned out. Also, Dong is right about the "you shouldn't major every champion," because it gets to be too much.

I cannot possibly learn every single champion, so I just stick to the three I've played a lot Ashe Ahri Lux and try to use the mechanics I learned from that to kind of fill in the gaps when playing other champions.

For the most part though, stick to one or two you really enjoy playing and have at least some knowledge of how the other six you enjoy work. League is a team game, if you know how to play well with others, being the weakest link won't be as bad if there are stronger bonds.
