Remove the blue essence needed to improve 'mastery'

**Why can not I improve my mastery without blue essence? ** To get a blue essence - I should get the chests, right? And in order to receive chests, I must receive the highest rank for other champions. In other words, in order to improve the skills of his champion, should I raise it from other champions? Where is the logic?

I ask to remove unnecessary requirements for increasing the rank and leave only merit in this champion. You can increase the number of required 'mastery tokens', if necessary.

Not sure if you're aware of this but you can buy champion mastery tokens to unlock blue essence. They cost 1700 IP each and usually 1 or 2 can get yo all you need.

You can buy champion hards for ip and disenchant the shard for blue essence. I do it all the time for mastery.

that's why they have champ shards available for ip. and you don't need blue essence if you have the champ shard. however, i do think that maybe if you earn 1-2 extra tokens it should be free

You could try to get the blue essence from other chests...

Or you could take some of that IP you got from spamming the champion, buy a Champion Shard or two using IP, and disenchant those shards into Blue Essence.

They gave you the ability to spend 1700 IP on the token... They need some IP sink, especially when they are removing runes.

I pray to God that Riot gives me something to do with all the blue essence. Also, I do agree with the original poster. Riot should give us a way to earn blue essence and not have to spend IP to disenchant champ shards.

They talked about wanting to do this awhile back, but nothing has come of it so far, I think its on the backburner. I for one though stopped upgrading my champs to 7 when they said this, waiting to see what they'll do. (Got 4 just sitting there, with 2 more in progress).
