Duoq: Silver teammates vs. Platinum 3 enemy
There is something wrong with duo queues. It would make sense to put the duos WITH TEAMMATES OF HIGHER ELO AND AGAINST TEAMMATES OF HIGHER ELO.
However, when I duo, I can be 10/0/10 with my duo, but the rest of my team will be 0/30/0. Because, my team is actually Silver vs. enemy Platinum 3. Of course they struggle.
An example (I could give many) Yesterday I had a Leona Silver 1 support building Hextech Protobelt as her first item in my team. It wasn't a high MMR Silver 1, but a 200 ranked game 50% winrate Silver 1. In the enemy team there was a Platinum 3, also not a low MMR Platinum 3 but a 600 games 50% winrate Platinum 3.
How does a 200 games 50% winrate Silver 1 get in my team, matched against a 300 games 50% winrate Platinum 3 in enemy team?
That's more than 2 tier below. A huge difference. What, are duo supposed to carry teammates 2 tier below the enemy team?
If at least we had a TRANSPARENT match-making, we could tell that these non-sense match are the unlucky result of randomness, but as these situations repeat and match-making algorithm is hidden, it's hard to know what to believe.
I think my winrate as soloq is about 65%, while my winrate as duoq is about 35%. Now I always fear to duo because I know match-making will be terrible.
