Why is support nid a thing?
Compared to what other supports bring to the fight, it just seems like the obvious choice to NOT pick nid for a sup. Can someone help a brother out here

"I can't play support so i play something that can steal kills and become useless for the entire game"
Nid's strength as a support is vision and late game damage. She's not popular for it because it's easy to steal kills, but she essentially has a built-in ward and a heal.
People play Support Nid when they lost ther mid/jungle lanes to someone.
good roaming support for pickcomps, also a very strong 2v2 if your adc brings the cc
The heal(which is actually fairly good) gives an AA steroid, traps are good for counter ganking if placed right and spear makes for good poke if you can land it consistently. Her Cougar form is for when you fully engage the enemy and does a reasonable amount of damage compared to other supports. She doesn't bring crazy CC but she does however bring a fairly good advantage in small skirmishes. She is however fairly easy to KS with so only people who know how to regulate their damage should attempt something like this.
for the lulz
Idiots.
For the same reason people play Lux support.

"Support ". Many of them don't even have the decency to buy a sightstone or wards.
Lookin' at you too
It's for the damage output. Most people in lower ELO take a higher damage support. For example I took Zyra into lower ELO. It honestly shouldn't be a problem as long as they build a support item and a sightstone. :O
she has the zone control of blitz, but without the commitment every time the skillshot lands. There are a lot of drawbacks and it isn't very good, but it can be made to work as long as you ward and land your poke.
"damn both lanes I wanted for nid are taken......well she has a heal so support will be fine"
