Sadly because his whole kit is centered around his voidlings, once they inevitably nerf them to a reasonable level, he will be useless.

All of his other abilities (excluding his slapped on passive) simply act as multipliers of his W. Rather than useful standalone tools. So if you lower the power of his W too 1/2 it's current power, malzahar's power will probably drop to about 1/6 of what it currently is, assuming no other changes are made.

It's terrible champion design. The voidlings should've never been the focal point of the kit. Maybe give them some type of passive to make them relevant to the AP builds, but never what they did.
