@RIOT | Why ridiculously + severely nerfed Fiora in 6.6?? (Seriously need an answer)

Fiora I just want to ask RIOT to answer us three questions:

  1. Why nerfed a champion who just has 50.02% win rate in Platinum+ ranked games?
  2. Why nerfed Fiora so severely that she was almost disabled after that?
  3. Why nerfed Fiora’s core skills including Passive and E? What do you think make Fiora a Fiora after this?

Let’s look at what killed Fiora in 6.6: 1.Duelist’s Dance [ Passive ] True damage on Vitals changed from 3% to 2%. ([+ 2.8 - 4.5% of Bonus AD] to [+4% of Bonus AD]) 3% down to 2%. When Ult, Fiora total losts 4% damage of the enemy max HP. This is a huge 33% nerf. 4% of max Health means a lot in late game.

Don’t tell me 2.8% of Bonus AD was increased to 4%. How many AD do you have in early game? How many damage you will lose in late game when 4.5% of Bonus AD was decreased to 4%, in late game, when you have 200~300 AD?

2.Bladework [ E ] Slow strength decreased from 40/45/50/55/60% to 30% at all ranks. Do you see that? 60% down to 30%. Half nerfed. Like someone cut one of your arm and one of your leg. This is it.

So why nerf Fiora? (1)Is it because there are some people just personally hate Fiora? Just personally saying “Too much damage as Percentage of Max Health + True Damage”?

Don’t forget there are lots of champs who are doing the same thing, GarenGaren , VayneVayne , YiMasterYi , Cho’ GathChogath , ZedZed , JayceJayce … too many to mention.

Yes it is true damage. But it is just 3% percent. Try to look at those champs that has 20%~33% AP damage of enemy max health. And don't forget, this 3% is what Fiora all relies on. All.

(2)So, RIOS must say, well we think Fiora is doing too much damage. This is hard to believe, how can a “too much damage” champion struggle around 50% win rate?

(3)Don’t forget how hard it is to play as Fiora. Her W is much harder than Yasuo’sYasuo W. She is defined as a high risk – high reward champ. 0.75 second leaves you no chance to post-react to enemy’s control skills like stun and immobilize. Don’t forget she has NO AOE skills. Don’t forget how painful it is for Fiora to just kill minions in early games. Before she getsitem 3074 , the only way to kill minions is to use A. (What, you told me that item 3074 was nerfed in 6.6 too??)

(4)If you recall another champion, Miss FortuneMissFortune , another champion claimed by RIOT as “too much damage”. She had No.1 Win rate two three months before. What did RIOT nerfed to her? Slightly decreased the damage of…… E. Yes, RIOT did not touch her passive, or Q, or W, or R, just E.

And guess what, just this tiny nerf made MF nowhere seen in win rate Top10 now.

Let’s see how Fiora will suffer in 6.6. Maybe 45% win rate will make RIOT happy?

They really did hit her hard on E attack speed nerf. I don't think she deserve that one. :(

Having fought a share of tank fiora's stat checking me to death without a hint in finesse, the entire THEME of fiora, I am not sorry seeing the nerfs land. Also seriously, she doesn't need a slow on E even at all, it becomes less about the damage and more about the fact that a impossible to escape champion can also cut your legs out from under you, hence the nerf to THAT.

Also I am not sure what the miss fortune example is intended to explain? First, Lovetap was also nerfed in 6.1, just slightly early game. Second, SLIGHTLY NERF WHAT. They freaken carved roughly a third of the damage off of rank 5 make it rain.

I quote "Base damage reduced to 80 / 115 / 150 / 185 / 220 from 90 / 145 / 200 / 255 / 310."

It got nerfed because it was warping how you played MF so hard that she practically became a zone control ADc that would rip your face open with that 60% slow that has fairly generous targeting allowance in addition to MF's strut letting her catch up to people.

Even now it's STILL the apparently optimum way of playing her according to http://champion.gg/champion/MissFortune HOWEVER the sample size is fairly small so it could be a few really good MF players breaking the statistics at that scale.

Personally I think they should also hit her passive down a bit, and make it scale less on MF, but that's a little insane on the Fiora nerf, they at least should of reverted the true damage back to attack damage.

hi i dont know if this Thread is still active I just played Fiora again since all those nerfs. 6.12/6.13 live I went for Fevour because i felt my Top opponent ( Illaoi ) Can be easily all inned Pre6 ( I first blooded her in lvl 3 > Flash for Flash ) I went like 5/0 in my lane managed to 1vs2 double kill easily vs a Leesin&Illaoi by stunning Lee while blocking his Ult with my W.

To come back to the theme Fiora was nerfed because she was by far the best and savest 1st Pick toplaner in all cases. She is still the savest fastest Splitpusher next to Jax. She has a very very low cooldown on a escape Skill which needs no ward to jump on or anything else + can overjump walls all several seconds.

Maybe your playstyle just dont fit Fiora right now and to be honest Fiora is still an very Strong Top laner, the W cooldown increase is acceptable since her W is one of the strongest Skills ingame. Her E nerf to Slows are also not that undeserved since Fioras W also Slows her 1st target and her E with 40% cdr has low cooldown aswell.

Next to that Fioras Skillscosts are very low and that what makes Toplaners shine mostly. 30-45 mana cost on several Skills Last but not least the ATKSPEEDSLOW of her E. In my oppinion this was her Strongest Strenght reducing atkspeed by 40% arround with a simply empowered Autoattack (E gives atkspeed) is just insane. I remember spamming Lee sin Top in S3 he was unbeatable toplaner he had High Sustain High Waveclear by simple Buying Hydra and Maxing E first. His E was Magic damage scaling by AD and reducing atkspeed by 20%/30%/40%/50%/60% > 60% LUL they completly removed it. This was so strong that an Irelia or any atkspeed bases champs had no chance to trade that lane > irelia/jax/aatrox/ whoever Also Lee sins Ult scales crazy with AD so you 1shot the toplaner with E>AA>Q>R>Q ( Your E still Magic dmg so either he gets full dmg by your E or your R ) If he buys Resistance items early.

Riot learned from that and Atkspeed based champs are punished anyway in League since all new released Champs have insane Kits or multiple effects on multiple Skills. So giving a Toplaner Atkspeedslow with a skill which is a garantued hit is just broken. Jax can Dogde E by his E still. Compared to Malphite E ( still slows Atkspeed ) has a very small hitbox and is almost melee ranged to explain you how hard that is to hit vs a decent toplaner like fiora > its impossible.

And all her Strenghts got abused by Proplayers thats why she got nerfed. Riot´s balance changes are only taken by Pro play matches.
