Current jungling experience in season 6

Before anybody pulls out their torches and pitchforks just remember this is all subjective and based on personal opinion so if you're gonna be a douche then save it for a dynamic queue thread or a thread about your main or something.

The current jungle is a mess. There's no other way to word it. -All the buffs to monster stats (damage/health/defense) -All the nerfs to the gold/exp they give -The random timers riot has implemented It just not fun anymore to jungle.

In a way you've made jungling easier to get into for new players with the timers and all but in another way you've made jungling simply unfun for people who main the role.

Not only have you made the early game harsher for heavily gank reliant champions who can't sustain with just the jungle gold/exp but you've made it easier for laners to track down when a camp will spawn so they can go in for an easy invade on the jungler/free buff.

Ganking has become increasingly harder with how much mobility/safety there is in the game so just farming is no longer an option for many junglers. If we don't force a gank we starve and end up 1 or 2 levels behind everybody else leaving us at a disadvantage and making us a liability to our team.

Shit even jungle enchantments mean nothing anymore, I can go a whole game without building up to my jungle item because of how meaningless the stats/passives on it are, many junglers already ignore their jungle item and leave it for last because of how meaningless it is.

I get that riot doesn't want carry junglers to come back into meta but it just feels harsh how much effort you have to put into jungling for how little reward it gives.

I don't want to be a second support, at this point even supports are out scaling us in levels.

So please riot, let's make jungling great again.

Only thing I have a problem with is the new buff timers. You basically gave the new players what it took us several months to learn for free.

The only problem I have with this post is the bit about being behind in levels if you just farm. If you're farming correctly and not taking stupid jungle paths, you should be able to keep up with the solo lanes in xp, even if you don't have the fastest clearing jungler, if you're only farming. If you're taking rift scuttlers and counter jungling, (hi, shyvana players) you can even get ahead in xp and gold. If you're really falling that far behind from farming, I suggest looking up optimal jungle routes and different rune page setups.

Just means we have to ward more really. I like the new jungle personally, the fact i can tell my team when things are up or going to be up is nice as most times people just ignored your own personal timers you have, so dragon can be more contested.

I do agree the damage the jungle monsters make now is a little stupid, making some champs near impossible to have presence early in the game, like Quinn for instance. But the other stuff i am okay with i guess.

jungle always had been a second support, only that now it has a lot more vision control than actual support witch is pretty messed up. the only problem i have wuith the jungle atm is that ut´s far too farm focused makes a lot of junglers that don´t farm fast from the get go unviable. But if you path correctly you should easily keep up with the sololaners in levels in most games (usually i end up highest level in the game if the game goes remotly well).

Counterpoint: Vision changes made it harder for players to keep their lanes constantly warded because trinkets expire quickly and pink wards are visible. This makes it easier to gank lanes because your ganks are less likely to be telegraphed.
