4.19 Why Ryze?!?

Does anyone else think that the Ryze nerf is an idiot idea? I've been playing him since S2 and he was my first champion i ever bought, so i remember what he was like when he had 10% on his q. He actually had a mid game but also a ridiculous late game so i can see why that was nerfed. I mean compared to any other mage in the top lane i think ryze still lacks. Have you ever taken annie top? or lissandra, hell even kassidin is pretty good.

The guy has a dismal early game and the only reason why people started taking him top is for the simple fact(well my opinion) he cant handle mid lane anymore.

Atleast give him some more scaling power if your gonna nerf his early game again Hes losing out on a lot of dmg 20 at lvl 1 and 25 at level 4 (if you follow q w e q). So now those early boughts with anyone will leave Ryze in the dust and in the grave.

I'd like to hear more maybe i just dont like to see my fav champ loose more of his power. I still believe the patch where His q had the 7.5% scale was where he was meant to be.

80% of Ryze players plays him top, and believe me, getting poked 24/7 by Ryze's Q from a distance is not very fun......

And because of his mana ratio scalings, it became quite valid for Ryze to be building a item 3027 & item 3110 , meaning he can be one of the tanky AP fighters to fight and scale better in mid-late game. One reason why he can pretty much sustain better at top fighting AD bruisers and shiet.

I believe ryze shouldn't get nerfed.

He is being nerfed for the wrong reason, It seems no one understand that ryzes early game is already weak and don't know how to take advantage of it.

Quote: "As a strong late game scaling champion, Ryze's ability to bully out other top laners early is pretty bonkers, so we're reducing his base damage in lane while still leaving his ability to scale past laning phase intact. We'll be keeping an eye on Ryze over the next few patches, however, as these nerfs might be on the light side for how dominant a champ he is."

Yes!!! He is able to bully out "other" top laners and forget to mention the other half that he cant. I'm sorry, In a game where the champion pool is rock, paper, scissors. Paper shouldn't complain that scissors is able to beat them. We see these complaints all the time on the forums "this champ beats my champ he must be OP". If you are taking champions like Yi, Teemo, Singed, Trundle, Shyvana, Mini, Gnar, Xin xhao, Etc... against ryze you're going to have a bad time and continue to have a bad time after the nerfs until he is absolutely worthless.

Ever since Ryze became flavor of the month i learn how to adapt and that i can take old school champions like olaf or yorick against ryze with great success. I use to play darius to counter ryze which i did vary well i just didn't like his late game so in the end i found Olaf a much better pick and on several occasions tower dove ryze all the way to victory.

I for one thank ryze in this current meta to remind me OLAF is still a beast of a champion and yorick is still great

Due to the nature of mana scaling, Ryze gets a lot of free damage from just leveling up.

He needs changes that shove him back to mid: there is nothing more frustrating than a range tank that still out damages you.

Ryze is still a nightmare to play against. Instead of nerfing his damage on Q they should've did something to his mana scaling or mana regeneration.

Cause he is not Lee Sin and anyone under 6300 IP who is good who is not Lee Sin will get nerfed reasonably, any character 6300 or Lee sin will only get love taps and side grades
