State of Tanks- anyone else think its bad?

New runes hit and everything changed. Champs and gameplay are in a big flux, and everyone is re-figuring out matchups tiers and viability. ADC seems altered but pretty balanced. support seems to be slightly better off. I don't play enough casters to comment on midlane, but some folks i know say it isn't too different from before. I have no idea whats going on with jungle, but there's so much variety in that role that its hard to nail down.

Top lane and tanks in general straight up feel like they got the shaft form the new runes. Everyone runs grasp over the other two tank keysotnes, because it's the best option but still doesn't really add that much hp lategame. On top of this teemo is now an insanely powerful lane bully thanks to aery. this wouldn;t eb an issue if teemo wasn't so unsatisfying to play against. Champs like teemo, singed, kayle, and (pre-rework) yorick are bad choices to make meta, because they're so tedious to play against. they have their roles and places (mostly as counters), but shouldn't be go-to safe comp picks, because the wonkiness of their respective kits twists matchups and picks in strange directions up and bores their opponent.

to be fair, juggernauts like chogath were not in a balanced place prior to new runes. they did lots of damage and were hard as hell to kill. they feel straight up gimped now though. nasus feels better, and yorick feels ok, but overall top lane feels like fewer options (run grasp) and overall weaker.

maybe i'm nuts or doing everything wrong. please tell me if i am.

I think tanks are still okay. All they have to do is land their CC and their team kills the target in a second flat. Maokai, Gragas, and Ornn are all really strong and have high kill potential while going tank.

Bruisers/juggernauts are the ones that are struggling currently.

Played full tank Ornn today with kleptomency. Won lane again a Xin Zhao. Granted, that's only one tank, but I found him to be quite strong that game.

WELL, Ornn has brutal melee statchecking from buff after buff, short of Nasus or something you lose to him in a early brawl. technically his stuff is dodgable yes, but not very much so if you fight him as a melee and he always has a skill up.

He still isn't op because in midgame he watches the Zed Khazix or anything really eat a squishy on his team alive because every cc he has is delayed. Unless his ally is at a wall.

But other tanks don't 1v1 as well as him.

Overloaded tanks are doing fine but a big part of the roster are troll picks.
