Whats the point of playing ranked?

Seriously.

Ranked is dumb. There is so much decided by champ picks, or someone just having a good game, or a good team. Personal skill matters but only so much. There is TONS of random elements to every game. Personal skill level doesnt have a huge impact on the game (outside of some champs which just shows those champs have shit design).

I've looked up a number of high profile known high ranked people, and LEGIT their match history looks exactly like mine.

The game is just random as fuck. So many things can influence a match. If rank system had more to do with PERSONAL performance it would be worthwhile, but there is a ton of random things you CANT control that affect your average match more then your personal skill level.

So then why play ranked? A stupid system that only cares about the W and the L, with a stupid amount of grinding. (Seriously, what, 6 ranks each with 5 tiers to grind?) Too much time, no wonder people get so toxic and aggravated.

Normals are way more fun, less stress for one, and for two ranked has zero point or benefit. I have better games in normals then randoms nearly every time.
