Why did they have to mess with veigar over some stupid item that i never used nor needed?

Riot says it crippled him but they are morons that don't play him enough to know any better. EVERY time i ever got DFG i lost and sucked bad.

Rylia's Scepter was much better and useful to the team due to me getting full slow-effect from a single-target spell that had a short cooldown and gave me hp to last.

Rylia's Scepter was my core item for Veigar.. and now Q is a multitarget spell so his slow's are half as much. I also liked getting spellvamp but since it's now multi-target skillshot i get less healing.

Also, I miss a lot with new Q or hit things i didn't want to hit instead of the champ. Overall i get fewer kills.. about half or 1/3rd the kills per match than i use to get.

It's enough that i had to worry about landing a good stun and landing my falling rock.. the last thing i need is to worry about a god damn skill-shot.. that, if it hits something, doesn't even slow them down as much now.

Veigar was my main in both normal and ranked and now i won't touch him. he's complete trash now.
All because of a stupid DFG that I NEVER USED! And it was typical for me to get 20+ kills in a match. I think the highest was 32-34 kills in a ranked match and NO DFG! I probably averaged about 11-15 for a typical match.. often people citing me as the MVP of the team, because even if i had low kills i often worked my spells well enough that i was getting at least good assists.

To make matters worse, now he stuns less often because people dodge it almost always.

Back when the stun was instant people usually dodged about half of them. now they dodge about 80% of them

ROLL BACK VEIGAR to before 5.3.

Give me back my old Q or give me a character that plays EXACTLY, to a T, like old veigar

But knowing riot, they will just tweak what he has, thinking that simply making him stronger will solve it. I DON'T WANT HIM STRONGER, I WANT HIM TO PLAY LIKE HE USE TO. It's the "FEEL" of how he played that i miss.

What good is winning if you can't enjoy the process?

Or lets put it another way.. If they made Veigar do 10000000000000 damage and i was guaranteed 100% wins with him in ranked, i still woudn't play this new veigar! It's the feel i'm after that i loved so much about old veigar and this new one is complete crap.

V was my first mage and I loved him. when they said they would change him. I though maybe they would lower his mana costs or cooldowns to compensate him. I bought his ultimate skin and seriously considered maining him again. I also never used death fire him, too many buttons to press for the wombo combo. I didn't even build a whole lot of AP on him. I played more defensively, using kitting tactics. Run, Stun, smash. building rod of ages, Liandrys for Q (witch has way less peel now that its a skill shot AOE) I was a tough little bastard to chase down for the kill while dealing decent damage and surprise burst kills.

now V is a typical non unique, less reliable skill shoter like all the other champions have become. So unique, very compensated, much fixed. Seriously like, wtf was wrong with him?

he has never been a top pick

never had a large ban rate

wasn't big during any LCS

His win rate was average

why change him?

I don't get it.

veigar sucks in lane, still has a late game which is easier to achieve and perform with the addition of ludens echo. try not to horribly lose lane and veigar should do ok now. granted his safety in lane was destroyed with the E nerf, but its still up to the player to compensate for your opponent.

so i play super scared little girl tower hugger mode engaged. and just Q farm. i dont even attempt to poke at the opponent unless my jungler is planning something.

If this is honestly the change that causes you to stop maining your champion, then good riddance. His Q is stronger now. Literally the only thing they removed from his kit is the ability to instant-stun and then nuke someone. It made it awkward and harder to use, sure. But it's a healthier kit over-all, and now Riot has some wiggle room to buff him in other areas (like his +200 range, double hit, faster Q).

They've also already said that more Veigar buffs are in-fact coming in 5.6. So go ahead and un-knot those panties and go adapt to your champion, instead of discarding him because you might have to change your play-style.

As an old mid Gragas main I feel your pain, all I can say is there are 100+ other champions find a new main.

dont play veigar anymore then. He's not the same champ anymore. His old playstyle was deemed unnecessary and replaced by the new. Ill experiment some mroe with it to see how it works out. Thats all you can do.

again, i just played another ranked match against veigar.. totally fed me and everyone else. i kept walking right through his stuns and dodging just about all his Q's... diving him on his towers.. and all he could do was die.

i haven't seen a single anyone win with veigar yet since his change.. whether he's an ally or enemy. Since his change i've only seen veigar get a total of maybe 5 kills out of more than a handful of matches.
